Absolutely the best fish and chips this side of the river the owners are super friendly (especially to us kiwis) what a local Gem FIVE STARS ACROSS THE Board

Ive tried a few places in Thornlie and Canning Vale and they have all been quite horrible except for here. The staff are lovely and the food was fresh and very delicious. I found these lovely people through the reviews and I hope my review will inspire you to support these people and have some incredible fish and chips.

Really big individual serve, even got an extra crab stick that I didn't expect. Generous fish size and plenty of chips. Staff were really friendly and courteous.

I absolutely loved the fresh fish and chips served here. I have been going there fo over 6 months now and each time i am provided with spectacular customer service. Especially the girl with glasses who was so kind to me. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

Guys i have been shopping around to find a chip shop that can keep its standards alas a let down tonight after 3 buys from you dont cook with old oil or cold oil it lets your business down every time fish is glistening with oil and soft to eat no firmness in the flesh as last time i bought from you was firm throw it out if its old from thawing or make fish cakes

The fish is so fresh, nice and juicy. The chips are perfect. The complimentary crab sticks r very good. My kids and I enjoyed our dinner so much! We keep coming back cos we love it! Very friendly service and generous portions!

After my local fish and chips have been hit and miss lately, I decided to try something a little out of my area. I had a few mates over for the weekend so I decided to make a large order.

Margaret’s service was outstanding and made sure that we got our money’s worth with a few extra crab sticks.

Food was prepared on time and even though it was 15mins away, fish was fresh and crispy as were the chips.

Definitely a few full and satisfied bellies that night.

You would think that its hard to get fish and chips wrong but so many joints seem to do so. Not here. They definitely hit the spot.

Never in my life have I received such a small serving of fish and chips. This cost $34!
Paid extra for grilled fish and there was still flour all over it.
$1.50 surcharge to pay with eftpos card is not acceptable in this day and age!
Was recommend to try this place out but NEVER AGAIN
Go to Ashburton fish and chips and you would pay $15 for this size.

First time I have used The Batter Fish and Chips”, very happy with food, the Snspper a good size and cooked perfectly, chips nice and crisp and crab stick were yum. Lady who cooked/ served friendly. All in all excellent will go back again.
Slightest whinge - surcharge for eftpos, but guess business passing on cost.

It's definitely our favourite fish n chip local!
Why go anywhere else for freshly cooked

This is by far the best fish and chips we have had, The Fish and all the food there is delicious, we have been here a few times and the servings are very generous and the customer service is fantastic. Highly recommended

Went there for one serve of chips was told 15 minutes, 30 minutes later left the ticket on the counter and walked out
