The Alexander Bar & Bistro

The Alexander used to be our favourite hide out. Now it's way over priced for drinks, the food is average at best and poorly staffed. My review went from 5 stars to 1 after our 2 past visits.

If I’m paying for an already overpriced Parmi at 30$ it should have fresh hot chips every time, not the little over cooked ones. I must admit though, the Parmi itself was great.
Kids playground still very ordinary!
This place was a great local but don’t think we will be back again for awhile.
Has the potential to be a great family restaurant but has missed the mark!

We had a very nice dinner however
It is Discasting how we had to push our way parst 3 to 4 smokers standing in the entrance complaining to staff nothing done about it

Great food, venue service was good, music was good but too loud for table conversations to be heard.

Great night out for awards night for the team, while having family and kids with us.

Good burger, friendly staff and nice beer garden area with play space for kids. Decent grassed area.

Went for dinner on a Tuesday night. Reserved a table for 4 online which was easy.
Arrived on-time. A staff member was slowly sweeping and wiping the reserved table while we stood by waiting. Was booked for 5.30 so should really have been done before the time reserved.
Other than that all meals and drinks were delicious, And being on the buy one Salad, Burger or Pasta night was great value too

The management and staff are so friendly.
The music is good, I cannot recommend more for you to try this place.

The food here is amazing. We ordered winter special Lamb Shank, pulled pork burger with chips and pasta. They all 10/10. The burger I had was one of the best I’ve had in Perth. Definitely worth a trip from Mandurah.

The food here is less than impressive! First experience was chicken with mash. The mash was almost fluro yellow! Scary!
Last week I tried a veggie curry…. What could go wrong? Well…. There was no veg…. Just 3 cake like things with some curry sauce tipped over…. Dry like sponges…. The rice was a rice popsicle that came up whole on my fork! Best bit was the poppadum. Bland, over cooked slop…. Avoid!

The food is pretty good, the staff are friendly, the kids love being able to run around on the grass. Just a pity the music is always way too loud outside

Well set up for current times with a tap, order and pay system at the table for food. Still had to go to bar for drink. Food was middling to good.

Love this place the people who go there are friendly. Staff are great. Feel very comfortable when I go there

Well this ended up being a wee gem. Nasi goreng was primo. I had beef cheek and noodle. The meat was so tender. But the killer was the best sticky date pudding I think ever from a restaurant. Least to say I left as a wee fatty bumba.well done guys we will look forward to coming back

Was a regular at the Alexander but I feel the prices of the dishes I should be sitting on the coast as in Hillarys boat harbour. Sorry guys.

Great food and outdoor area for kids! Only had one bad meal and that was parmi night! If there is a chef I don't know why they would have pre fab chicken schnitzel tbh otherwise I liked it!

Food was delicious. Environment was friendly and fun. Live music was enjoyable. I had a cider myself and I didn't personally enjoy that, though I prefer sweet cider. Other than that, it was really good. The staff are also super friendly and welcoming

Yum yum. Just had a great lunch with the family. Fish n chips and parmi sandwiches with chips, garlic sauce and LLBitters. So good

We booked a large area out the back so our families could celebrate my sons 3rd birthday. We couldn't have been happier with experience. The staff were very accommodating with great attitudes. The entertainment was brilliant with a great singer performing the classics from early afternoon. The outdoor play area is perfect and safefor the kids to run around. Plenty of space if they want to kick a ball and a slide for the little ones. Food was delicious. They have outdoor haters to keep the area cosy on the colder days, and the footy on the tvs. Something for everyone
