The 7th Ave Bar & Restaurant reviews
50Don't waste your money. My $37 sirloin steak was like rubber and veges were brown. I sent it back and asked for a refund. Their response was yes the veges were off but the steak was okay so they brought back the steak and $20. Very disappointed
Food is good. The music is way too loud. We watched everyone get up and leave when the chase the ace finished and the music went up, no one at the bar because it was louder there. We couldn't get out fast enough. Did ask for it to be turned down but not able to do so.
Will definitely think twice about going back on a Friday night, especially if the music volume can't be adjusted.
Absolutely the worst steak sandwich I have ever had.
The relish was horrible and the steak as thick as a piece you should have on your plate, not in a sandwich.
There was also no caramelized onion as listed on the menu.
Got attacked in the middle of the bar by a male which I got confused for a female as his punch was weaker than a fly swat both got kicked out and low and behold his mates were waiting outside for me total setup lesion to be learnt don't kick out the guy doing nothing
It used to be one of the best places in Midland, but lately it has gone down hill fast. Just had the most tasteless cajun chicken salad ever; the promised spicy cajun aioli left a lot to desire for.
The kitchen staff should be advised to read the orders ; I ordered a steak sandwich without tomatoes and got a steak sandwich with tomatoes. The steak was sinewy, chewy and over done.
As much as i hate to say I won't be back (after 20 years of frequent dining!). I do not recommend this place.
Was not the best food for its price.had scotch fillet with prawns for 45.steak was average.drowning in basic gravy.prawns were small.and soggy mixed green salad the amount size of 2 table spoons or less.still burning over the price because wasn't satisfying
Had the worst dinner, the garlic bread was so salty had to wash it down with a glass of water. I had the mushroom risotto that looked like a plate of mush. The chef/ cook needs to taste the food before it comes out because I could still taste the wine that wasn't burnt off. The other main was supposed to be the chicken scallopine which was so sweet and chicken was very dry. Sorry but was not a pleasant meal.
The service staff was were lovely but the steak ordered was raw then when I asked to have it cooked a bit more so that it’s medium rare it came back burnt. The chips were undone. Do not recommend
Service n food quality has dropped dramatically. No salard dressing n food just very bland chips were very olily, I ordered the grill barramundi n salard with chips. Hubby had the stake sandwich it was just below average.
Would not recommend this place to anyone. We came to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary
Food was good but closed venue at 8: 30pm and rushed all the patrons out, so had to rush food down and no time to talk and relax with friends.hills pubs a lot better for service and atmospheres
We eat here twice a month, spend approximately $160, a month, over the last 2 years, over the last few months the quality of some dishes has gone down hill, in point, Chicken Parmagina, my last one, crumbed chicken breast, on top, tomato something, on top of that, ham from a roll, on top of that, tastless cheese, it tasted pretty average, not anywhere as good as they used to be, it's not hard guys.
Will give it a miss for 6 months,
Relaxed atmosphere for a catch up drink with friends or family. The pool table is very squishy near tables and one of our party was nearly whacked in the back of the head several times.
Nice venue and good service from staff that do not turn over often. However, the selection and weekly deals that were it's reason for us going there are no more. Now expensive for what you get. I guess new owners. We have gone from visits twice a week, to once every couple of months.
Service at 7th Ave is always reasonable but today we went there with our son and my husband and I ordered the Seafood Plate each.what a waste of money that was. The fish was superb but the three prawns were deep-fried, along with the "crumbed" calamari which was tiny pieces, bland, some were split so were strips of calamari. The chips have not been good for a while now, after changing from the beautiful seasoned chips to a cheaper and nastier version. I think we will be going elsewhere from now on.
My partner and I ordered the chicken parmigiana. The vegies were very dry, we didn't bother eating it. Chips were hard. Next time, please serve fresh vegies.
Good food but took forever to get our meals and then half the table had to wait while the pther half ate theirs
Enjoyed the meal and the service was great. Only issue that I had was the water glass was placed upside down on a sticky table that hadn't been cleaned down property and when I used a beer coaster it stuck to the table. My mother had a Swan Valley white wine and when she had finished the glass had sediment in the bottom of the glass that looked like grape pulp.
Nice Pub/Restaurant in Midland for all people, couples, families, friends. Nice street frontage outdoors and amazing guitar talent on friday nights. Was disappointed with the $3 small postmix sparkling water I paid for but overall a good option to go relax after a hard week.
Great place for a nice meal, cold beer and enjoy that with good company. On my recommended places list in the Midland area.
Great selection of meals. The gnocchi napoletana was delicious. They have very good seniors specials too and nice surroundings.
