Ever since Uni, this place always known as one of the best Laksa. From Spencer Village to this current place, we still remembered they serve a mean Laksa. Yep the pricing is reasonable and portion is good. The laksa is still as good, I did thought the fried rice honey chicken could do with more flavouring

I’ve been going to Taurus hawker since their days at Spencer village in the early 90s when Ken was head chef. I do not know what has happened in the last 2 years but I’ve had my last meal today.from what I do know Bamboo in the same building has flourished and Taurus has just died in my opinion and it’s worth noting the owners of both are related and I’m assuming something went bad and even more so during the whole covid era, it’s a shame and an end of an era tbh… it tastes cheap and without ️, I’m sad to even post this but go to bamboo.not quite the same but more heart?

We have eaten here many times and the food is great, but on visiting the Men’s toilet it is DISGUSTING. Obviously the food inspector doesn’t visit because it needs shutting down.

This Singaporean/Malaysian hawker food place has been there for years, used to be good and popular, had lunch there recently, not as good as before, the place wasn't as busy as before.

Hands down the best laksa in Perth… and $11 is a steal. Always friendly, super fast, busy and buzzing with people… such a hidden gem.

$12 minimum EFTPOS seems convenient for the owners to charge customers when all small dishes are $11 and large is $15.
When I discovered this surprise I promptly left

I remembered frequenting this place years ago.it was always satisfactory as the portions were big but weren’t at the expense of quality and taste. Sadly it’s no longer the case. Went there today and ordered chicken curry noodles, fried beef horfun (flat rice noodles) Ngoh hiang (lorbak) and ice kacang.the curry chicken was not fresh and the curry gravy was poured all over the egg noodles to a point where it was soggy and unappetising. The beef horfun didn’t have as much wok hei (breath of wok) as I would like and the portion was quite small. The lorbak was the only saving grace of the food we ordered as it actually tasted decent and we given a big portion of it. The ice kacang was made as if they’ve ran out of red syrup and evaporated milk.it was literally the worse I’ve had in Perth and mind you I’ve ordered ice kacang before from this place and it was divine.but not anymore. Very very disappointed

We ordered Hor Fun with egg sauce, Rochore Mee, Prawn noodle soup, and Yong Tau foo noodle soup, and hokkien mee. They all had a sweet taste to them although they are meant to be savoury meals.

This place has gone downhill quickly. Omg, squid was rubbery and burnt and everything else is now subpar. Used to be so good. Wonder about the freshness of their produce.once our regular, we stopped going for a while.unfortunately our return wasn't that pleasant. So very disappointed.

The food here was so bland. No flavour, just bland. And not much chicken in the honey chicken dish. Average score for average food.

We have been eating Taurus Hawkers food for 39 years. It has not changed in that time. I have tried Laksa and Kway Teow all over Perth Malaysia and Singapore and I would say this is the best I have ever had. You will not be disappointed it Is THE BEST in south Western Asia.

Shocking squid, dry and tough. Rice ordinary. Was sick after eating there at lunch. Never go back.

Good selection of Malaysian type hawker/ street food. Nothing fancy, but good tasty offerings for a quick meal.

Disappointing 12/07.
Been a loyal customer Taurus almost every 2-3 weeks and today was the worst experience. 1) we waited 45 mins for food, 2) they lost our order when it wasn't even busy, 3) all tables ordered after us already had food and left, 4) we ordered a large dish and a regular both came out as regular and they insist one is large (I've ordered the same dish more than 40 times, I know the size when I see it), and 5) the first and second dish were 20 mins apart.
Not sure what went on but don't think we will be back anymore. Probably try next door for a change.

Absolutely love the Nasi Lemak. With fish or chicken it is delectable. Eat in house or take away.a decent meal and plenty tasty. If you order fish, you get a free can of soft drink! Clean, simple decor and so it keeps the service good and meals cheaper than some. They all work hard in the front and in the kitchen. Nothing to complain about! Top marks folks. Keep it up.

Curry Laksa and Lobak Roll are the best in Perth. Laksa gravy is rich thick with a big flavour punch. Lobak is crispy on the outside and succulent on the inside. BEST HAWKER FOOD in Perth

We have been here a couple of times. The food is good, especially the desserts. However, it’s a bit dirty and unclean. We had to clean the table ourselves.

Used to be the best Malaysian food in Perth. That was a long time ago. Still great when you're hungry, but there are better options around these days.
