Tao Cafe reviews
55Classic sushi train, pricing is about average of other trains. Sushi was good though with a good variety of made to order meals available.
We got in very early and as we were expecting a quick dinner, the place was almost empty and just waiting for our drinks was at least 15 mins. Food took at least 30 mins and compared to other Tao’s I have eaten at this is well below the average food taste and speed. Will not be back to this site unless some changes are made.
Tao’s is my ultimate food joy in life. My boyfriend and I eat here at least once a week and since I’ve been pregnant all I can crave is their roast pork but have been to sick to go in. I wrote them a little thank you note for having amazing food when ordering online because I miss it SO much and they sent an extra portion of my FAVOURITE dish with a reply thank you Tao for always looking after your customers, being so sweet and having amazing food every time I’ve been there
We were here for late lunch so it was not busy. Peaceful and quiet relaxing. Nice selection of food from the menu and there is a sushi train. We had beef Singapore noodles and crispy chicken fried rice. There were delicious. Staffs were not really attentive but service was fine. I don’t mind to dine in here but I think it’s lacking atmosphere. I hope the restaurant will look into this to improve.
Never again.girl on the phone was super rude and acted dumb.never had such dry chicken and half of the pho we ordered was missing - waste of money
Quality has dropped a long way in the past couple of years. Lots of sweets/lolly plates on the sushi train to entice kids. Some toilets out of order. Sticky tape left on plates that had sushi on them.
The sashimi is the only good thing at this place.
Quality of food here is just okay, but portions are quite big for what you pay compared to other restaurants.
Lots of variety of cuisines on the menu.
Food is below average. Slow staff attention (need more floor staff). Sushi train is very limited on what they can offer. They tried to provide 3 different cuisines (Japanese, Vietnamese and Thai) and none of them stands out.
I made an order on ubereats only to get disappointed at the incomplete order. I’d paid for drinks that never arrived. Won’t order again.
Delicious!
Generous portions a la carte - recommend you share a mains.
Great variety on the sushi train and delicate cafe deserts.
A few cocktails too.
I am baffled! If i could give zero starts i would! I’ve never had to wait over 2 hours for food honestly disgusting service! Do better for everyone please.
An overenthusiastic menu but better than expected plus they actually have raw tuna which can be a rarity for generic sushi places.
Tables have a stickiness to them. Young coconut juice sour and off, roast pork no flavour, sushi train was as awash with desserts as it was with sushi dishes and this was before 6pm! If you’d prefer something other than sushi off the conveyor then you’ll be disappointed. A bad dining experience.
Worst restaurant EVER! Food was disgusting! 3 dishes and all were terrible! Will never go back here again!
We enjoyed a great variety of Sushi train options along with a delicious Miso soup and Calamari very much recommended staff were cheerful and prices were reasonable
So incredibly expensive for pretty average sushi train. Very disappointing. Won't be back
Just walked out. Our order when it was eventually taken after others coming in after us.had a "problem in the kitchen". Having waved at the staff to get the order taken this means not ordered. Getting water was hard enough. Sushi train was sweets and tuna. After 5 or so years of many meals here not coming back.
Amazing service by Ha, don’t stop being beautiful Ha you made my mums night with giving her a birthday cake
Great variety of sushi served via a Sushi Train
Chicken katsu, prawn and avacado, tuna, fried rice
If you want a dessert train, this is your place. It's all non perishable sweets, not sushi. I get it's hard to judge covid walk in crowds, however be honest with your patrons who walk in. Tell them to order off menu if they want anything other than macarons or jellies. Also poor service between telling one staff member at seating to count plates and then going to register to be treated with pure bewilderment as to why youre there and what you are trying to pay for to leave.
Made to order? Thoroughly recommend. Staff for efforts and politeness is impeccable.
