One of our favourite places to go because it’s always very reliable, food is always great. It’s very suitably priced.

It's delicious. The taste remains the same as it was five years ago. The price is very cheap and the meal is delivered quickly. I will definitely review it again.

Always a good time, but get in early cause this place is usually packed! Great place for a quick bite, especially when you're on the run at work. The minimalist style suits, with meals coming at you fast and efficiently. Had the joy of eating in today for a change and will be coming back to do it again.

This was a go to place before if you are looking for rice dishes. Unfortunately, the quality of food they are serving is slowly getting poorer. Usually orders teriyaki beef but last time tasted like I am eating a grainy beef, texture isnt nice and taste a bit on the bland side. Also ordered teriyaki chicken but I saw some black bits that looks like it shouldnt be there (chose not to describe it further but let me tell you that it dropped my appetite big time).

One of my favorite cheap eats in the city. This place is always consistently good with its food.

In my opinion, their ramen is the best I had in Perth so far.
If you do not know what to order. I recommend Katsu Don. The small serve is decent, however I always get the large with the Miso soup as a good treat:)

Affordable, authentic Japaneses dishes. The food is delicious overall, though they could be a bit more generous with the serving potions of the protein in their dishes. I recommend the Age Dashi Tofu rice set, salmon bowl, and unagi bowl. Service could be improved, though - it's not rude but servers look sullen sometimes. Perhaps its time for management and stakeholders to show them some "love and appreciation" e.g reward them for their hard work?

Great array and selection of Japanese food, at very good prices. Service and atmosphere can be improved, though.

The kind of of eatery you want, where all the effort goes in to the food and getting the basics right, not fancy tables.

So good. Been going here since it was in shafto lane. Katsu Don is epic.
No frills and delicious food.

Overate! It’s not even worth, we ordered $30 worth of food, and they all tasted bad. Waste of money! The fried chicken is awful and it doesn’t come with any sauce on it.

Surprisingly very good rapid and the quality is excellent and the price only 15$ for this platter

I’ve came to Taka since 2007 not very often but once awhile. I used get chicken with hairs but it was ok to eat but today I got smelly chicken, Probably left food from yesterday. I know this is not a fancy restaurant but should get fresh food that not gonna make me ill.

Sushi was very fresh and tasty and very reasonably priced. Friendly staff and excellent service.

My go to when ever I am in the CBD in Perth. Can't believe I have not reviewed before now. If you want FAST food and I mean FAST get in to Taka. Its not gourmet Asian cuisine but if you want to order, pay and be eating in 8 minutes its the place for you. Not great for those with mobility issues as the tables and chairs are tightly packed but they do take away. I love the flavours extras and miso soups. No frills low end great meal for lunch in the Perth CBD.

Food is very cheap and generous portions. Took 30 seconds since I ordered and got my food. Agedashi Tofu wasn't bad but my chicken miso was bitter, probably overdue. I got food poisoning. Pay more and play safe.

No love at all. Paid for stale overfried fish with some dry cabbage thrown in, no flavour whatsoever. The only vaguely tasty component was the miso soup.

Came here to meet my partner for lunch during the 12pm lunch rush. Was extremely quick service which was very surprising. Food was very nice.

I used to come to quite often to Taka as a student, the meals were cheap, hot and reasonable. Over the years the standard dropped off to the point I never got a hot meal. After 4 years I decided to revisit the place with some peer pressure, after ordering a Katsu Curry my pager was vibrating not 5 seconds after paying and the meal was on the pass. Not a good sign. As I thought It was cold but oddly only 1 piece of chicken could be seen on the rice. I took it back and asked if it was meant to be this way, the girl asked the older cook to take a look at it. He proceeded to stick his entire hand into the pool of sauce to fish out 3 soggy piece of katsu.

They then asked me if that was satisfactory.

Do not go to this place, they have no standards, they don't care that the food is terrible and just look at you like some animal feeding at a trough.

This is my favourite place for rice and chicken. Overall all the foods are delicious but the restaurant needs a new look it looks very old and sad vibes.
