29 Christmas Lunch Buffet Disaster!
I booked in October using a website that charged a fee to ensure my family, whom I usually host, would have a beautiful Christmas luncheon.
On arrival, the time had changed so we lost 1/2 hour because I wasn’t notified, I felt like an intruder, not someone who had paid 1400 dollars to prebook.
We were going to be forced to seat outside in 42 degree heat, even after we booked for an in door session, After speaking to at least 3 people my family was jammed into a back table, no room to get up or move - remember this is a Buffett.
We were told to wait for a plate - 4 people maybe got a plate. Needless to say by the time we could get in and out the food had rapidly depleted. The prawns were not local, tasty and the chicken was dry. The beef was good.
Desert was another thing entirely- suffice to say that I was completely ignored by the service staff when I asked if I could have plum pudding? The array of desserts was excellent- pity we didn’t get to try them. We still had a good 1/2 hour before being booted out.
To the manager- you have lost a huge amount of money, customers because the people that accompanied us that Christmas was a small portion of our family and all small business owners themselves.
Horrible customer service, waited 1hour for food for come out! Food was horrible and didn't eat it, was a waste of $200! Do not recommend!
Ithe chicken parpagana was the worst thing I've Ever tasted DISGUSTING food was off n steak sandwich that my son had bread was was mouldy steak was off also
DUSGUSTING don't recommend at all
Prices were very high, for example $15 for a toasted sandwich! Service extremely slow and food poor standard. Very disappointed.
Sat at the table looking at the menu.then 30 minutes looking and my feet.middle of the day Saturday 3.10.2020.not at all busy.left without ordering eating or drinking.not impressed.
If I had wanted to sit around and be ignored I could have done that at home!
Worst restaurant ever attended. Crowded, can't move and everyone is so blocked in. We can't relax and enjoy our meal. To think that i have paid $120 for this for me and my son. Absolute joke. They have crammed everyone in and over booked the restaurant to make more money. Never seen anything like it. We are so crammed in like can of sardines. Never coming back again. First and last time.
Ordered giant burger me and my partner was to excited to the size of it, but the burger took 45 mins to serve. Were both starving and unsatisfied the meat are to dry, 1 leave if lettuce and the huge burger buns it wasn't fresh you can smell a old bread roll. Un recommended, me and my wife now laugh about the memories of disaster and mentioned never come back. I share this to help others. The picture versus reality.
The grounds were lovely but the facilities were outdated, the menu needs modernising and live music was absolutely deafening. Really need to lift the game when nestled in the swan valley surrounded by hip new bars, wineries and craft breweries.
Unorganised xmas function. Food buffet next to bar made queues for food and drinks a crowded space. Not ideal given the covid 19 times we live in.
Aircondition inside venue was average and felt sorry for the guests who were seated outside on a 42 degree day.
Venue opened at 11 till 3 and we usually would stay the whole time however the experience was not to our satisfaction and left before 1pm as did 50% of other guests. Food was fine
Most confusing, unorganised, hot Christmas dinner that just looked like food poisoning the second we walked in
This whole experience was confusing. From the booking to finding the restaurant entrance upon arrival to ordering our food.
Website says closing time is 6pm on a Sunday, menu in the restaurant says 8pm, but the wait staff said they actually close at 5pm. No signage at the venue to direct you towards the restaurant so we wondered around until we found it. The menu online was quite different from that being used in the restaurant, and several items listed were not available for order (including a few of the drinks).
Ham & cheese toastie was less than mediocre; even a casual cafe does it better. All of the side salads were incredibly underwhelming. The chicken Parmigiana had a very artificial tasting sauce. Wedges were quite yummy though so that's the reason for 2s.
We used a gift voucher but won't likely return in the future. Also would not recommend.
It was a very quiet Afternoon and we still waited about an hour for our lunch. We ordered a steak sandwich and Surf and Turf. The food was very average, definitely not worth the wait.
The best Halo-Halo I've ever tried though the serving is a bit smaller compare to the usual size. I find their menu a bit pricey. I didn't enjoy the Dinuguan as it was too spicy. The place is clean and the ambiance is good. There is a park, resort and mini golf in the same compound. Great place for family. They accept EFT and cash as payment. The staff and manager are very friendly and accomodating. The resto has a free karaoke as well.
Group platters seems not great value for the price.
Patty to bun ratio is way off. A super thin patty in between thick bread. Good for the gram? Maybe if the photo was taken from a distance.
Food was nice. Hubby enjoyed their pork very much. The wait to be served is long from ordering to getting the food out. They seem busy and can forget to bring out orders. So Patience is a must.
Had a wonderful time at this restaurant, catching up with friends. Live entertainment is tops. Food is value for money and enjoyable.
Nice place nice staff. Enjoy the food but one BIG problem Halo Halo way over price its $12. Ordered veggie lasagne i like it.
Very pleased with our lunch. Dined there years ago, remembered it was good, still good. I'll tell my friends and colleagues!
Great Golf for a fun activity to do when lunching, the food was lovely and the service was friendly. A lovely place for family time in the Swan Valley
Can t believe how big the burgers were good value 6 adults could not eat it all worth the money.
