Lovely affordable little place. Really nice man serving and making the food. Very kind and friendly. Came in pregnant and starving and he had my food out quick sticks. Definitely coming here more often! Food was delicious and fantastic service!

Great Ramen! I am by no means an expert but I did work at a Japanese Izakaya for a time and so was exposed to some delicious ramen. Since then I have always looked for good ramen and am often disappointed. This Tonkotsu Ramen was rich and satisfying (finally a proper broth that hasn't been watered down)!

Will definitely be eating here anytime I stop through Fremantle.

This is my absolutely most favourite place to get food anywhere ever! The prices are super good and you get quite a big portion of food. My friends and I are regulars and the staff are so nice, remember to stack your stuff its good etiquette for such amazing quality food and service! A hidden treasure of a place indeed, this place does not dissappoint! I highly reccommend the Chicken Katsu Curry and the Spicy Pork Belly Miso on the menu, those are my go-to's: D

Actually really good. I got the katsu curry don and chicken karaage. Cheap too. Weird name and shop but highly recommended.

Goons has the type of food that, at first time, it's just a simple good food. But when you realise you're hungry, the food that come in mind is goons's. Really good and cozy food. I really love it.

Just had the best teriyaki tofu miso ramen. Great little spot with lots of options and well priced.

Great food at reasonable pricing. We ordered 3 different types of bento set and a oyako Don. Very yummy and worth making the trip down.

I have been going here for over a year now and the guys here are awesome. They are very friendly and always go out of their way to make sure your experience is a good one. The food is amazing too, very authentic and consistently good. If you like ramen this is the place to go and the gyoza's are really good as well.

By far the best sushi this side of Okinotorishima, legendary food, might I recommend the teriyaki tofu for those vegetarians among us, or a simple bowl of edamame beans for those acetic vegans reading this. Whoever you are sushi with goons is a must go place in Fremantle, it's been around for as long as I can remember and I hope it stays that way. Everything about it screams local small business, from the lovely staff who speak little English but always help with a smile. To the lurid spray paint mural of Bruce from finding Nemo who as just murdered marlin (presumably not Nemo as the characters Bruce and Nemo never met in the first film). A morbid show of the circle of life, Bruce leering in threateningly towards the restraint, a dead gaze in his eyes with blood freshly spattered on his teeth. The mural is most perturbing at first, but with familiarity come comfort from the unique vibes granted by this spectacular venue. A first stop for me whenever I go through freo, I hope it can be yours as well:)

Little Japanese restaurant tucked in a corner that sells some sushi but most importantly very good and tasty Bento's and a great miso.

Love this place, food is great and service was quick. Place is exactly how a Japanese eatery should be, I think I have a thing small and cosy hole in the walls. This place has an added bonus of a giant glass window that allows you enjoy your meal and watch the world go pass. Had a hearty bowl of spicy miso noodle soup with a generous portion of pork and bok choy for only $11.50 must come again.

Friendly and quick service, with traditional bento and donburi options as well as the other sushi dishes.
Serves are large for the price and freshly made to order.
My favourite is the chicken karaage don, huge serving with a bowl of miso soup for $9.90 (May2022).
Great alternative to the usual Freo tourist spots and very affordable lunch option for workers in the area. And much cheaper than outlets in the market or the newer Kings Square.

The raw salmon rolls with avocado that I bought today were horrible. All the salmon was watery, like it had been defrosted.

Great little place for the generous bentos and noodles and sushi. Friendly and helpful staff and the sushi is fresh.
