Our favourite getaway location. We absolutely love it here at Sunnyhurst Chalets. The cosy log fire chalet, farm animals, mini golf and children's playground was great for us considering we have 2 kids aged 2 & 4.
The owner is friendly and really makes you feel welcome here.
Thanks again Sunnyhurst we'll be back for a 3rd time. Cheers

A beautiful relaxing place to spend the weekend away. The chalet is cozy & warm, especially with the wood fire.
A walk around the property is also relaxing with the trees, chooks, goat, sheep, cows, and don’t forget the mini golf, we also had a possum come and visit us.

A nice, relaxing and a great place to go with your family and friends. Property has a common pool, private bbq, cute farm animals and a mini golf area for kids. Chalets were clean and has all the basic amenities.

2 adults and three kids. Beautiful setting, well maintained and immaculately clean chalet. My only complaint is that the bunk beds did not have a ladder or a safety rail so one of my kids actually couldn’t sleep on it and ended up sharing our bed so we didn’t have a very comfortable weekend sleep wise.

Fantastic location, winter wonderland. We stayed in the chalet 5, which sleeps 10 but we were 2 couples and had plenty of space, toasty fire & everything we wanted. Looking over the paddocks & animals in misty mornings was magic!

Quick trip down south - great location & facilities for kids. Mini golf and farm animals was our kids favorite.

We spent a few nights at the chalets with another family (5 adults and 4 kids in total) The cabin was four bedrooms and very spacious with a beautiful view over the property.

First impression was cossy and quiet. Whether with family or solo, it would be a nice place to stay.

The kids loved playing with the animals and the friendly chickens happily walk right up and peck you on the feet.

The pool was great and mini golf even better.

Us adults went for a 2 min stroll over to the next door Sunny hurst cellar door, vineyard. Very friendly owner with a very nice Sauvignon Blanc

The Swiss style cabins where surprisingly warm though it as quiet cool outside.

Very loverly stay would definitely come back again any day. Such a peaceful area of Bridgetown.

Thanks

Had a great stay, the location, gardens and Chalets were great. Had everything we needed for our visit.
Recently refurbished mini golf & new playground was a hit for the kids staying here as well.
Free fresh free range eggs for brekkie were a surprise too.
We loved the mini goats, sheep and the highland cow we could feed. Absolutely loved the pool after a long hot day.
Would highly recommend Sunnyhurst Chalets to anyone looking for a few days to get away.

Chalets were comfortable, well appointed and had a rustic charm. It was lively to sit outside on our own private deck, have a BBQ and watch the birds. A gate at the top of the stairs to prevent toddler falls or in our case our dog trying to chase the birds would have been a good thing. (She failed) Otherwise it was a great stay and we would consider coming back.

5 Days over Christmas 2021…. A fabulous place to stay… lovely cosy chalet…air con was welcome as it was very hot over Christmas…the chalet was well equipped… full kitchen so we could roast our turkey and veges for Christmas lunch. Fantastic large deck overlooking beautiful scenery with lovely grassed area right in front… great place to hang out with your morning coffee…where we sat and chatted for ages over drinks…we had chalet 2…. MEADOWS. Swimming pool and putt-putt and chickens and sheep were all nice additions to this property. Having a TV with most channels was fantastic and much appreciated as due to the hot weather we spent 2 days inside. Shower was great, bath towels nice and the fact that we could have our little dog with us was brilliant… she’s our baby and it was great that she was welcome too! Not a large chalet but very cozy with everything you need. Many thanks for having us.

Chalets were nice but worn and blinds are noisy at night with some breeze. The playground and chickens were a hit with our kids.
The downfall is their cancellation policy. If you have to change your dates - no matter why - they will not give you your money back. Only if they find a replacement booking they will give you a credit for another stay. Which means that they double dip until you can come back.
They say that it is the same across southwest, but we had another place cancelled without problems.

To say we loved the accomodation would be an understatement. The whole package with the environment, Bridgetown itself, the area driving in and out of the town is just serene. Tracey being the most accomodating owners to deal with and providing every bit of details to satisfy the customers. Highly recommend this place with family. Not much animals now on the farmstay but some lovely sheep and kids enjoyed feeding them

Chalet was clean, but unfortunately we were told the night before that no animals lived on the farm anymore (besides from a few sheep) which was disappointing as I thought I had booked a farm stay for the kids so they could interact and feed different animals etc. I also felt that the play area was run down.

Lacks authenticity, change of management/ownership has lead to the current owner (a salty old sea dog playing farmer in his retirement) to i am afraid to say run this place into the ground. Complaining about his lot in life and swearing in front of the kids, like a few has said on already on other reviews, not an ideal location if you have kids.

The location and chalets are great and well equipped, but service can be improved. Couple of issues experienced during the stay.
1. We were only supplied 6 toilet rolls between 10 people - should the toilet papers have been free while paying $250 per night per couple? Same applies to the bin bags?
2. While it is a family holiday place, the noise is expected. But we have been constantly told to turn down the volume. If you love your music and have noisy kids, don't go here.
3. On the last day of our stay, we received a notification to not go to the pool because of maintenance (which is ok), but we have noticed other guests using the pool where care-taker had no issue with?

So happy that we booked at Sunnyhurst. Not too far from the town centre. The kids loved the area, and really appreciated the fire pit. Recommend it to anyone, and i wouldn't think twice about going there again.
Just a reminder, make sure you take extra clothes, because the nights in Bridgetown are freezing.

Lovely place to visit with young children. There are donkeys, ponies, alpacas, sheep and chickens to feed and interact with. A swimming pool, playground and mini golf to entertain the kids. The owners are lovely and you can arrange for a roast dinner as part of the package too.

A short, steep stroll 200 metres up hill to a lovely quaint winery with a lovely view over valleys at sunset.

Don't forget the mosquito repellant though.the chalets are all rustic so expect creaky floors and you can hear your neighbours as they are all quite close together.

Have free range chickens so leave your dog's at home!

Beautiful place, absolutely beautiful. The owner was warm and welcoming, and this made it a 5 star experience. I was fortunate enough to stay here for a work trip, and loved the place right from the moment I arrived. I hope to return here again, because I thoroughly enjoyed it.
