Suisen Japanese Takeaway Restaurant

Take away order was well presented. The sushi was very fresh! Chicken Katsu was let down by the gristle.

I ordered a chicken teriyaki set. It came with rice, chicken teriyaki, shredded cabbage, sliced cucumber, slices of tomato and a teaspoon sized portion of potato. Everything was average except for the chicken which was terrible. It was dry and bland and not covered in sauce like normal places. I had eaten here a few times and had become increasingly disappointed by their food. I called the restaurant to tell them and he told me he had put a lot of sauce on it. Which just isn't true. I hope this review prompts the restaurant to evaluate the food they are providing - you can't serve dry and poorly sauced chicken teriyaki and pretend it's ok.

Never disappointed with the food here. Love the sushi, side choices and meals. All fresh and delicious. Best sushi in town

I was expecting to find an authentic Japanese restaurant during my visit to Perth, but I was extremely disappointed. Food was terrible and the owner of the place was very rude.

We had the tonkotsu ramen and chicken katsu set. Both were absolutely delicious. The ramen broth was very clean and had great flavour. The prices are great too. Will definitely be back

The food, the ambience and the service were amazing. The staff were humble, polite and friendly. Definitely deserves a revisit. Perhaps next time we see a film at the outdoor cinema over the road!

Amazing sushi platters and catering options! This year we had Suisen prepare some nigiri platters for our Christmas dinner. The quality was very high and we were so happy with the results.

We ordered 3 separate platters of salmon, tuna and fresh scallop nigiri which we later seared with a blow torch. Many of our guests who have never tried sashimi or nigiri before could not get enough of it which is such a compliment to the chef.

I would highly recommend giving Suisen a go for their platters and entertaining at-home options.

Saw this place on my way back from work and figured i'd give it a try, got myself a Chicken Katsu Curry for $16, curry was bland and chicken was tough with soggy crumbs, decided to give it a 2nd chance a few nights later, got myself a $14 Pork Katsu Don and i could hear the microwave in the back, no wonder it was horrible.all and all, wouldn't recommend.

Lovely little shop. Great for a quiet Sunday lunch. Fresh food, great service. Some may feel the prices are a bit expensive however the meals are more than adequate and also of great quality. Treat yourself and make a trip in.

Fresh, delicious and authentic Japanese. I've been coming to Suisen Japanese for close to 10 years and it never disappoints. The restaurant is run by the lovely Seng and his wife Chieko.

Here we have a Chirashi bowl, it's one of my favorite Japanese meals. The word “chirashi” means “scattered, ” so this is basically a big bowl of rice mixed with fish, vegetables, and additional ingredients of your choice.

We ordered Inari, chicken katsu, teriyaki chicken n California sushi roll. Waited awhile as it was one chef n he prepared after we order. Taste nice.

This is the best japanese food anywhere around basso or surrounding suberbs. I love the little old dude who makes the food he is super sweet.

The Miso Ramen was great! You get a generous serving and a delicious meal, all for $15.
The restaurant is small, probably only sits about 8 people so don't expect to have a family dinner there, but for a couple of people or takeaway Suisen is great.
EFTPOS minimum is $15 and they don't accept Amex.

Been going here for years. Very little seating but love to sit and eat on premises. Love the chef's more elaborate sushi and sashimi dishes. Great ambience, could be local store in Japan. Bright and clean, a happy place to eat! Chef is a genius, from home cooking to fancy platters.
