Stumpy'S Gateway Roadhouse reviews
15Got a chicken foccacia toasted. Took it on the road to eat and found a giant curly hair in it. It was also very visible upon opening the wrapping so didn't eat it! Please wear hair nets for everyone's sake. Ewww.
Had a great muffin (raspberry and white chocolate). Sweet and filling, just what you want for breakfast
Always visit Stumpys when we are in town. Something to eat and drink for our drive back to Perth after a day working on the house. Bit of a shame last time. We biught a custard slice. We were about 1/2 hr away when went to eat it and duscovered it was still frozen.
Stopped at Stumpy’s for something to eat on our travels. Bought a pie, sausage roll and breakie wrap and all were really nice and tasty. Worth the stop.
Whoa, what a great stop over in Brookton.
Fuel, food, coffee and toilet break. Then on the road again.
We passed through Stumpy's on Sunday. A group of 10,6 motorbikes, cold and wet. These guys were very nice, organised and didn't object to us taking shelter in front of the building. Had a nice coffee to warm up before we headed back in the rain to Perth. Thank you much appreciated.
Hi
Got a supreme pizza $21.90.
One piece of salami on it.
Covered in cheese.
Disappointed for the price
Coz Stumpy always says gday and you can pay with your helmet on.
Good country style service.
Got 98 & good grub.
Best food I have ever eaten. I drove all the way from Perth just to pick up ten bacon pies.
He had made my coffee before I ordered it best service ever.

Place is lovely with a nice outdoor area to eat, although if you don't like cats it's probably not for you as 4 or 5 approached my partner and I whilst we were trying to eat.
Food wasn't to bad in taste and appearance, the price was slightly on the steep side yet tolerable but.the service was abit on the poor side of things. As for fuel travel the extra distance to pingelly 24hr and you'll save yourself atleast 10c a litre for the short drive, I think this place create their own fuel for the price they charge.
If you want decent prices and friendly service I don't recommend stumpys but the fuel station like 50m away. If you want poor service yet a warm meal that may or may not be edible then stumpys is the perfect place to go.
Had it with this place.used to look forward to it.
Now, the Pingelly Deli is my go to.home cooked food, reasonably priced and friendly staff.only 20km down the road.
Stumpy's Brookton experience.
Recently one morning, bought 2 coffees and thought i'd try the bacon and egg muffin.
Without even opening the muffin, i noticed the top bun was rock hard and the bottom was soft.sitting in the baine marie too long.i said to the girl that this was going to be unedible and any chance of getting a fresh one?
Got some diatribe about how they're baked in the oven? How they aren't like McDonalds that makes them fresh.that's how they're meant to be.etc etc.no apology, not even a concern that the food might be unsatisfactory.just a rant.
It was obvious that food quality was not her concern, and i actually had to interrupt her speech to say " I'll just have my money back then thanks. "
$6.for a dried out, rock hard muffin.this was in the morning too.was it from the day before?
Bacon egg and cheese pies and sausage rolls are awesome though, just avoid the rest in baine marie.oh and fuel up elsewhere, on average 10c a litre more than other country towns and 24hr self serves.
Just generally the staff aren't friendly or welcoming, always feel like you're interrupting them or they'd rather be somewhere else.i know it can get busy, so maybe losing customers is their goal?
Terrible food. Barely edible even in comparison to normal service station food. Had impressive range of chip salt though.
Great little roadhouse and fantastic food. If you are travelling its well worth a stop to grab food
Clean and tidy. Toilets clean. Areas to sit down for a break from driving. Room to park. Friendly staff.
