Stilts / Tonic By The Bay reviews
85 Ordered a pumpkin salad and asked if chicken could be added, to which the answer was yes. $6 which was fine until it came out. Grey blobs of chicken innards was dished up on my salad. To say I was a little concerned of food poisoning was an understatement, it wasnt eaten and wasn’t questioned when full plates of food went back. And was too tired to complain as not waitresses fault.
Chicken burger had a strange taste and $18 for a pint. Won’t return disappointed as guys playing outside were amazing
Very poor venue.
They have a very bad health hazard of mould in the kitchens.
Not very health conscious obviously!
Don't eat anything.
Good local restaurant/bar by the sea.ordered espanadas, spicy chicken wings, prawn toast and chips.share plates were good value and very tasty
Great location with potential but often untidy. Litter in the gardens, floors & tables unwashed. Had the fruit toast. Just toast not cafe style for 7$! Staff are indifferent to guests needs.
While we were not able to eat here due to our allergies the staff were very helpful and friendly trying to accommodate us. Very much appreciated the effort.
Live music and a wonderful atmosphere.
My husband and I have been coming to Stilts, now, Tonic by the Bay, for many years. Bringing along many family members who live down here.
It's a fantastic, fun venue, especially on week-ends with live music. We can watch the occasional footy or cricket match, which we love to do. The latest menu, however is not the best. Please work on it!
Such a great spot, but the grog & tucker so overpriced. Had to donate a kidney for 2 aperol spritzers.oops, they don't have aperol.
Not a chicken schnitzel in sight!
Food was okay, getting a drink? Go before your thirsty. Took over 20 minutes to get 2 drinks. Want Jim Beam- go else where.
Stayed at Broadwater and went to Tonic every night the staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble and they knew our drinks. This place is definitely a must so relaxing and cocktails were amazing well done team you are all awesome x
Great spot. Was staying next door at Bayview. Easy walk come off the beach. Busy busy quick quick. Service excellent. Book is my advice for a good table. Food is ordinary
It's had a name change but still a great venue. Good place to meet for a drink with your mate's
Great service. Add a Ruben Burger. I found it a bit spicy for me. The burger was moist and well-cooked.
Beautiful beach front Bistro and Bar!
Surrounded by lush green plants and the nice cooling breeze of the ocean.it is the perfect get away for those seeking a local Carribbean Theme dinning!
Overpriced food

Beer was good
Stilts was way better.
Tonic doesn't do food during the day anymore after 12pm (breakfast/toasties), and they don't even do milkshakes, only soft drinks and coffees. Just wanted to stop by for a drink and cake, couldn't get anything.
Bad move Tonic, they're going to lose so much business now that they've changed hands and rebranded. Staff was also a little rude.
Fantastic food, great venue, awesome drinks, amazing atmosphere! Would recommend if your down in the south west!
Had a great night with excellent customer service from Alicia and team. Great gnocchi and broccolini.
Very disappointing. Had booked 2 months previously but on arrival wanted to put us outside. Not a patch on the previous Stilts restaurant which was delightful. Now just an overpriced extension to the beer garden
Great place at an amazing location, but not sure what’s going on with the food prices. Ordered a pizza last night ($24) to share with my partner. When it came out it may as well have been a kids portion. It was a tiny pizza on a very basic store bought base. 2 slices didn’t even have any cheese on it. Extremely disappointing to have something like this let a place down so badly. Will be back, but only for drinks.
