The beginning of my son's educational journey at a public school was a challenging one. He struggled academically and we faced difficulties with the teachers and school communication. However, in Year 2 when I made the decision to enroll him at St. Denis. Back then, he was battling with reading and writing, but his Year 2 teacher's dedication and care were truly remarkable. By the end of that year, his progress in his writing and reading skills had improved. In year 3 he was diagnosed with dyslexia and from then on, the teachers at St. Denis have consistently taken a keen interest in my son's progress, offering valuable guidance and support to boost his confidence in his schoolwork.

Now, in Year 6, my son has the most phenomenal teacher. This teacher not only fosters his academic growth but also takes a genuine interest in building his confidence in both his schoolwork and personal life. Witnessing my son's overall improvement has been truly incredible, he now shows an interest in his work.

Being a single parent, I am grateful for the constant communication and support provided to myself and my son’s father and their willingness to go the extra mile to address any issues that arise. Despite the nearly hour-long daily commute to the school, I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. The growth my son has experienced and the special bonds he has formed with both staff and fellow students make it all worthwhile.

The dedication and investment of the teachers in the children's well-being is truly admirable. The administrative staff's constant support and communication have also been exceptional. And I must mention the headmaster, Mr. Touhy, whose influence and commitment to the students and parents are beyond commendable. They say that culture starts at the top and permeates throughout, and this couldn't be truer for St. Denis. Mr. Touhy's fantastic leadership sets the tone for the entire school, and his genuine care for the kids and parents is evident in all he does. I cannot recommend St. Denis enough for its nurturing and inspiring environment.

It is a school of excellent quality, both academically and in the training and teaching of values and respect for others. Having God first above all things.

Our two children started at St Denis this year after leaving another local Catholic Primary School.

With an older child at high school, we understand that community, communication, and partnerships between parents and the staff are the secret ingredients to making a fantastic school.

We would highly recommend St Denis… Their enrolment numbers reflect this.

I have had three children at St Denis, I would not recommend it. My eldest son left with poor grades and flagged for leaning difficulties but after leaving the school flourished at Trinity he is now sitting year 12 from year 11. My middle child is in year six and I will be pleased at the end of the year for him to be leaving. I am in a co parenting situation and the school has definitely taken sides, I was lied to in a meeting about a diagnosis of dyslexia and then never received an apology, and still haven’t to this day. The school sets no homework for students and then expects parents to source tutoring outside the school to boost students grades to make them look good. My daughter unfortunately has a few more years at the school so I will be fighting hard to get her moved to somewhere with better values and opportunities. Any dealings I have had with the school I find staff talk over the top and are verbally aggressive and try to blame parenting, for context I am a Spinal Surgeon and and have two undergraduate degrees (medicine and dentistry) as well as a postgraduate diploma so I feel I know a little bit about education. I would definitely look at other schools before considering this school
