St Brigid's College reviews
19Fiona Hepi is a qualified primary school teacher, yet she is Head of the Secondary School, she is not qualified. Fiona Hepi is a bully! Many staff at SBC bully other staff to the point they want to unalive themselves. As a teacher who worked at SBC, do not send your child here. They will chew you up and spit you out!
Coming from a guys perspective, an all girls school sounds pretty sick, but unfortunately, all the girls are mid. Like the only people above 5/10 in the school are the male teachers
- Cons -
Lots of bullying
swimming pool sucks
has to deal with mazenod (also sucks)
- pros -
lots of bullying
canteen food tastes like a wet diaper
there's at least 1 male teacher
Had a terrible experience with the students at this school and had to leave, but one teacher truely worked to make my time here bearable. Ms Amy is a wonderful teacher who does her absolute most to make everyone feel welcome and happy at St Brigids. I will never forget her:) Thank you Ms Amey.
I sent my daughter here for 11 years and I’ve never been so appalled about the way this school deals with situations and caring about their education.and when I decided to move my daughter they demanded i pay for an extra term for which my daughter wasn’t attending? For a school running with catholic educations and morals this doesn’t sound like something that’s quite appropriate.
Attended for 4+ years. One of the worst schools I have attended. I was bullied from start to finish by students and teachers, nothing was done to rectify the way students were treated despite raising it with the staff. I know multiple teachers that were bullied off the staff.
The buildings are extremely run down and half of the grounds smell rotten due to an underground sewage tank that had apparently burst and was not cleaned up.
I do wish my parents had read these terrible reviews before they enrolled me in this institution and paid the high fees.
RE: staff, do not reply to this. I am not interested in communication with the school.
The way that some of the teachers handle serious topics (eg.bullying) is atrocious. They need to understand and handle the students in a better way. They don’t take action towards bullying and they say they will not accept it when they do nothing about it. The way some of the students talk and act to the teachers is so wrong (action should be taken) but then the way the teachers handle it is truely wrong (either handling it not at all or handling it unprofessional).
I was not impressed with their way of handling bullies. I was very disappointed by the way my daughter was treated in her time there. The building is very old and needing maintenance
I'm currently attending this school and um just saying you'll get a better education anywhere else but here.if you don't want your child to have a stroke going up the hills, or maybe having an asthma attack walking down the halls or even fawked up mental health issues OR maybe just maybe your child if their lucky might get a bit of a ceiling falling on ya head:) if you can handle gossip I guess your right.better have tough skin <3
This school is not very good, the teachers are not supportive and parts of the building are extremely run down, I tried going in depth about it but my review was not visible to any one.do not send your kid here if you truly love them
The education this school gives its children is truly awful.the teachers themselves aren't even educated.as a former student, I highly recommend not sending your children here.
I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone as they put well too much effort into the public image of the school, and absolutely no care into the actual students, classrooms and education.
Horrible school. Teachers do not care about the students and only how their reputation is to the public. Please do not send your child here if you really love them.
Having just had a daughter complete Year 12 and boarding for 6 years, I have to say it has been a wonderful experience. I also have daughter who has just commenced boarding in Year 7. I am also an ex student and cannot speak highly enough of the college. I have experienced other colleges with my sons and they have paled into insignificance compared to St Brigids.
As a ex student of this school (left this year) still with years left in my education. I would not recommend going here. I was bullied for the 2 1/2 years I was there in high school and the teachers did nothing about it. When seeing the psych, I was told me it's my fault, I'm the issue. The other girls not even addressed. I would go home crying and my poor parents felt so devastated. Even after THEM contacting the school still nothing was done. The teachers made me feel as though if I didn't do ATAR in future years I will not get anywhere in my life. Nothing much left to say than I am glad I moved.
Agree with all the negative reviews, unfortunately we don’t have many positives about this school to report. We did not have a good experience with this school, personally had issues ranging from the principal, certain teachers, lack of communication, a culture of sweeping things under the mat, denial, dismissal amongst other things. So disappointing for a catholic school, they certainly don’t practise what they preach. Cannot see things improving over the next few years, seems to be deteriorating fairly quickly.
Reading these reviews I can tell that the school is wonderful and I can't wait for my two young beautiful daughter (who play soccer) to go here, they exceed the smartness to come here so ovisouly they got scholar ships to come here.
This school offers so many opportunities. I have learnt so much and are continuing to do so. This is a wonderful school with nice teachers. Although there are some girls that are rude but that is their personality, the school has no impact on that.
Reading the reviews, seems like not much has changed since I left 30 years ago! Camp sounds like the Point Peron one, girls were very snotty and arrogant. Some of the teachers were in the wrong profession. Some were really nice though! Perhaps one day I'll go back for a look around.
Boarding school here was hell. I had to go to therapy for post traumatic stress after leaving this place. Some of the house mothers can be abusive behind closed doors. Any health concerns will be over looked by nurses to the point where its dangerous. Parents please dont send your kids to the boarding school here.
