Went here for the first time tonight, completely blown away.top 5 meals of all time, genuinely everything we ordered was delicious, customer service was great, and even got some to take home.make sure you get the fried chicken! It could quite easily be best Korean bbq in perth

Incredible food and customer service. Right from explaining how the menu works to the delicious taste of food, this place is definitely worth the hype!

Staff and atmosphere is nice, but the food is below average.

The not so good:
* The Wagyu Beef Tongue is extremely chewy and bland, even at medium rare it's very chewy, it's like eating a rubber. In comparison, the beef tongue at Gyu Kaku is very tender, even if you accidentally overcook it, it's still very tender. Also it's nicely marinated so it has a really good flavor
* The Wagyu short rib is decent but not worth the price
* The chicken thigh and thinly sliced pork belly is ok
* The kimchi fried rice is way too oily and salty
* The kimchi tofu soup is also very salty
* The Beef Bibimbap in comparison is way to bland

The average:
* Seafood pancake is good, a bit on the salty side, but much better than the other dishes

I haven't tried other Korean restaurants in Perth but compared to Korean food in other cities and countries, this is one of the worst ones I've been to.

Food was delicious, ordered the marinated set which had and assortment of pork, beef and chicken. The pictures in the menu can be deceiving as the portion of meats are quite generous. Marinate was good as meats were evenly flavored. Fried chicken was a disappointment as it lacked crispiness and taste was bland. Did not have much soy garlic sauce on it as well. Staff were courteous but not very attentive and struggled to get their attention.

One of my friends booked us a table as a surprise dinner. I've not had a great experience with K-BBQ in the past and thought it wasn't really for me, however SSAM completely converted me. The food was slightly more expensive than I was expecting, but incredibly good quality and the flavours coming through the meat were phenomenal. You get what you pay for.

The staff were overall very helpful and friendly. Special mention to Avanny who clearly is an exceptionally high-performing waitress. Effortlessly demonstrated an incredibly high grasp of hospitality skills, and every interaction with her was a pleasure.

On top of that, beautiful atmosphere in the restaurant, the aesthetics are beautiful and it's a really nice place to comfortably spend a couple of hours with some friends. I will definitely be returning.

Can’t think of anything from the dishes ordered that I would rave about or order again. The side dishes are free refill but didn’t like them enough to want much more - just had more salad cause I felt we need more vege. Service was fast and efficient though.

Our go to restaurant staff very friendly.good quality of meat and very quick service.always tries their best to give us a table whenever our group comes. Thank you

First time trying this, and I'm definitely doing it again and trying the seafood next time

Went here on a Friday evening, place was very packed and had a nice vibe. Staff were attentive. Never tried Korean BBQ before so they recommended some sets. Ordered the pork and marinated set. Really enjoyed the meats, was very flavourful. Not so keen on the potato thing in the pot not sure what it was but it’s a great night out and something different. Loved the Soju! Will definitely come back with the family but won’t be dressing up next time. Just go in t shirt as your clothes will stink of smoke when you come out.

Large and spacious with dark heavy decor. Has an Asian food hall vibe. It was empty when we arrived, later more people came to eat lunch too. It does seem to get smokey and a little stuffy when the bbq is used.

Service is fast and attentive and friendly. Smiles from the servers which is great. They picked up empty plates pretty quickly too.

We had the hot pot and no bbq. We had the beef ginseng soup and spicy soup with our pork set. We ordered the combination set to go with our pork set comes with veggies, noodles and lots others. Refill soup is sour because of the heavy fresh tomato base. If you ordered the spicy soup it will be more sour. The ginseng soup was fine.

I would like to come back and try more dishes.

Too narrow table and chairs. Not suitable for baby with fram. Chicken was not good dry and not tasty

Great place, great food, great customer service. They have the best korean soup in perth, and also very generous with side dishes! Most imporrantly priced well.

Who said you can't play with your food, not this place. Keep up the amazing work SSAM, great food, and service.

Great setup, smoke vents are built into the hot plate cooker so there's less obstruction and less escaped smoke. Food is great.

Staff were super friendly and happy to help guide you with cooking process if you are unfamiliar, they were able to accommodate dietary requests. Food came out reasonably quickly some meat was chewy.

This is my favourite Korean BBQ place! While a little on the pricey side, the servings are generous, the sauces/seasonings are great, and the sizzling fried rice is amazing

This is a really good restaurant. I am Korean and it has been a year since I came to Australia, and I have never been satisfied with any Korean restaurant. But I think it was my first time eating it happily here

Ordered the seafood pancake take away but were mostly burnt as in the photo. I wouldnt order take away during busy time. ️

Decent Korean barbecue restaurant located in Vic Park. I have been to a couple of different K-Barbecue places in Perth and I have really enjoyed the food here.
Comes with whole heap of veggies and side dishes
Keen to come back and try other menus next time

Friendly staff. Food was great. Good serving size. Me and my wife over ordered the food. They gave us a take away container. Good experience. There is no special parking available for this restaurant but only street Parking available. I tried for the first time and the food was good.

I was really upset because when i came here with my friends, we ordered what was enough for us and we said that we would order more if it wasn’t enough.but the workers kept pressuring us to order more food when we didn’t want to because it was already quite a lot and didn’t want to spend so much money.we even asked if we could take out a rice as it was too much and they said no.we ended up having so much left over and spending more than we wanted to.edit: we spent 21.60 each for 10 ppl so it was $216 total on the 27th jan 2022
