Sri Devi Curry House reviews
15 Recent experience: Taste and quality has gone down, they have increased the price. Ordered Briyani, it was very oily, hardly any chicken flesh, full of bones. They have also changed the menu.
Old review: Great food, service and atmosphere. You have to go early especially on weekends because they make limited briyani and curries for a day
Food and flavour is AMAZING! Service is GREAT! Mango Lassi is delicious! Can't fault them. Great decor and clean place. Love it! Will be back often!
Great food, service and atmosphere. You have to go early especially on weekends because they make limited briyani and curries for a day
You can never tell if the restaurant is open or not. One minute they are open in the evening the next only in the morning to mid afternoon. The food is great but just unreliable.
Cute little restaurant, food was tasty and customer service was so nice. A warm and cosy place with nice music
Love this place, great curries and some of the best dosas we have had. And they also make real tea with tea leaves and condensed milk. The biryani is amazing as well, and we love the service.
Just had dinner at Sri Devi curry house. Had the goat curry. It was 10/10. One of the best so far.
The food was way way overpriced. $15 is just for rice, 1 meat curry (without the meat) and 1 veggie. We ordered 2 sets, 1 fish curry, 1 chicken curry and were surprised when we didn't see any meat on our plates. When I asked, I was told it will cost extra for the meat. Godsmacked!
Then for close to $5, the teh tarik came in very tiny glasses. 4 gulps and its downed. I think Sridevi in Northbridge was way better run.
I was so excited when i first came here, food tastes great but service is pitifully bad. When we arrived we waited so long gor our rable to be cleared we gafe up abd cleared and cleaned the rable ourselves. All 3 times we have been they have are just chaotic, forgot our drinks & mixing up orders. We had to ask 5 times if our drinks were coming and only after that they came up and asked what our drinks order was because they didn't know. Very disappointing. Please get more staff or at least train the ones you have.
Such a disappointment. Menu and food looked great. Just don't order any drinks. Been here 4 times and only once did they get the twh tarik and iced Milo right. All the time your food will come first and drinks will arrive way after you finished your meal and only after you've asked them over 3 times. Care factor of staff is zero when you ask for anything.
The staff look lost and confused. They don't know the prices of the items they are selling and have to look each one up from the menu. It's a painful experience from ordering to paying to waiting for your meal. Only saving grace is the food. Don't order the drinks. They taste nothing like what they're supposed to. You're better off buying a canned drink
You also have to clean the tables yourself. Service is non existent this place
Given them a few chances. No more
Wasn't what i was hoping for. Had high expectations for the place. No toilet, very stuffy restaurant.
Ordered cheese roti as one of my dish to try when the roti came I was puzzled by a strange odor. It smelled like rotten milk. It was actually from the cheese inside the roti. My partner told me better not have it since it smells weird. I was stubborn and still ate some of it thinking they must have made their own cheese or something. Bad mistake! I had stomachache for the rest of the day after. Please check the freshness of your ingredients, something is definitely off with your cheese.
Food was amazing, reasonable prices and quality of food is great as well, excited to keep coming and getting great food and service.
Great for malaysians and foodies in Willo.
Amazing food. So glad we have a place that serves home cooked authentic food. Roti canai and rice dishes were so good and fresh. The servings were good value but most of all meaty and quality is not compromised. Pray that this gem flourishes.
I was waiting for this eatery to open and today I finally got a chance to taste the food. It's good and tasty. The Mee Goreng is the most authentic I have ever tried in town! The only downside I encountered was the size of the Teh Tarik was not the same one in the menu photo.
Overall, food was tasty but they did not have any roti options or banana leaf option for lunch. The serves were small and expensive for what you get. $15.5 is steep for one veggie and meat with plain rice. They charge $3 extra for biryani. Also very chaotic, forgetting and mixing up orders.
