42 This used to be the best fish and chip shop around, but in the past few months has deteriorated. Today’s lunchtime fish and chips consisted of soggy batter on the fish and a meagre serve of soggy chips (it was only a 5 min trip home!)
Very disappointing
The customer service was terrible. I ordered 2 lunch time specials, with kids nuggets and chips. The order was wrong I was given $6 worth of chips and no nuggets. I was over charged and the employer decided to argue that’s what I ordered instead of correcting his mistake. To make matters worse the food was disappointing. Do not go here unless you want your food swimming in oil.
Served by a lovely gentleman with bubbly personality. Food was great! Quick, easy and affordable.

The worst fish & chips I’ve ever had. The fish was under cooked, the batter was soggy, no salt on anything. Also ordered an extra piece of grilled fish which we didn’t receive. Never again! Can’t believe they’re still in business!
Been coming here many years, wonderful service. Food takes anywhere between 5-15 minutes and is wonderful. No cons to this place. If your looking for delicious fish and chips, this is the place.

Travelled all the way from Melbourne after my friend told me about this. Can confirm best fish and chips that I have tasted, the batter was crispy and the fish was soft and not dry. Would highly recommend!

Extremely generous portions! Crumbed cobbler was succulent and delicious. Grilled salmon was a little dry.
The food won't blow you away but they always provide decent comfort food at a affordable price. Always come here whenever I feel like having fish and chips.
We purchased fish and chips with a white pudding. Fish was lovely and hot, fresh, fluffy batter. Sadly the white pudding and the chips were both cold, unappetising and not eaten.
The best fish and chips in the SOR, great taste, great value and very well cooked. They have the best prices and wont disappoint.
Love the place and friendly staff. Has a variety of sea-food options at a reasonable price. Chips have become less oily now, and also less in quantity, but still enough for us.
