Southern Plus - Next-generation aged care reviews
4 Very disappointed with southern plus. Our experience was similar to Krishna Boddu (reviewed) although we also had a host of other problems, not been supplied the necessary equipment i.e. Hospital bed, wheelchair, table, incorrect sized pads that repeatedly take 3 or more weeks to be delivered.
We moved to another provider and the difference is incredible, All equipment supplied within 2days of signing up.
Very disappointed in how long it takes Southern Plus to get maintenance done at the house. They have even put maintenance on hold whilst my Dad is in respite care even though there is no mention of this in the Home Care Package Agreement. Will change the service provider when Dad is back at home.
Very disappointed with Southern Plus. They were my mother's aged care package providers for about an year. They chewed up funding in the name of Case management + Admin fee: 67.56%. In addition to the government funding, they were also charging $10 per day fee. They are not flexible in changing times for care either. They have their own agreement where they do not need to give monthly statements which is against rules. We moved to another provider who charges only 25% admin + case management fee. Mother is much happier with more care. Please be aware of Southern Plus case management and administration charges of 67.5%

I recently worked alongside Jolienne, one of the SouthernPlus carers managing a client who's cat needed boarding while she went into hospital. Can't say enough wonderful things about her; nor could the client - she clearly appreciates everything this staff member (and the rest of the team) do to go above and beyond for her. From crawling on her belly with me under the bed to coax the cat out (!) to administering follow up medications to the cat for the client, to all the correspondence during boarding and relaying of information to the client, Jolienne was an inspiration to work with. If she is a reflection on all the other staff, then this would definitely be a wonderful team to choose to look after a loved one. ~ Karl and the Sage Vets Cat Hotel and Booragoon Vet team.
