Sorrento Medical Centre

I have been visiting Sorrento Medical Centre for over 8 years. I usually prefer to see Dr. Joanne Samer, who always treats me with great respect and dedication.

I needed to have an iron infusion, and due to a scheduling conflict with Dr. Samer's availability and my own, I had to arrange to be seen by another doctor. I scheduled a morning appointment to get the iron prescription, and right from the first visit, I noticed *Dr. Zohreh Hosseini's - (Mina) * lack of courtesy and impatience. I decided to save some questions about the results of my previous test and an allergy that returned behind my ear for my return in the afternoon after my iron infusion scheduled with the same doctor.

I was mistaken to think the treatment would be different. She was even ruder and stated that I was there for an iron infusion, not to discuss medical queries.

Sorrento Medical Centre has always been a benchmark for my family and me in terms of medical care.

All my life, I've avoided complaining about people because we never know if they're just having a bad day or going through tough times. But in this instance, it crossed a line.

I felt it was important to share this experience so that other patients do not leave feeling as worthless as I did. I will definitely return to see Dr. Samer to have my questions answered, but I will never go back to this doctor again and I do not recommend her to any other patient.

The ladies at the reception are always very kind and helpful. Dr. Samer is the best doctor I have ever seen in my entire life, so this review has nothing to do with the clinic, but rather with the lack of sensitivity of Dr. Zohreh (Mina).

Saw GP, had UTI and urine test. Totally fine with antibiotics. Received a text message asking me to make appointment to see the doctor again. Was worried but guess what. I went in to see her to be asked if I am feeling ok. Blood tests is also normal for one with UTI.
Come on, you are wasting my time. You cant be so desperate to get patients to come back that u have to resort to this. U are also very unethical, cashing in making claims to Medicare.
Beware don't visit unnecessary and don't waste your time.

Please understand that if you are working in a clinic assisting patients that are unwell and concern, do not treat them like nothing you are not a robot you are dealing with humans that are trusting the clinic and the system to get well, if you don't like your you job do something else but understand that if someone call because is concern about a treatment that is doing with a doctor and need to pass on a message or information do not tell them that the doctor has NOT TIME for it.

Extremely disappointing. Mentioned that I have a husband, got a bunch of STI testing on the bloodwork he was doing. No discussion or advice that this is what he'd chosen to do. I think you're in need of some sensitivity training, Dr Sam Takla.

Great service. Doctors and nurses both very knowledgeable and helpful. Low cost for a consult in comparison with other clinics

Absolute time waster!
The doctor ran over an hour late and reception were rude and didn’t let me know beforehand that the doctor was running late.
I’m never coming back here again.

Bulk billed but not worth the time wasted waiting on a doctor who has no respect for his patients.

Reception staff not very friendly, doctor not very thorough - went with a cough and cold. Offered anit biotics - if I wanted them No diagnosis give. Despite completing 2 forms and spelling of my name was still incorrect on the prescription.

Doctor Max Hubble is such a great bloke " very easy to talk to and genuine also got a good hand shake " to me says alot about a person.im glad i found him and got him as a Doctor/ receptionist are polite. Natalie lllich

Been going there for over 12 years and admittingly there have been times of waiting and a time of a no call back however as far as Medical Centres go overall they have been FANTASTIC. I trust my well being and life with them.

Worst doctors surgery. Terrible customer service. Always running extremely behind. Expect a wait time of at-least 40min. Avoid.

I've called at 11 am for a doctor's appointment as I am feeling sick and couldn't go to work. The reception told me to stay home and that I will receive a call back around 3: 50pm for consultation and medical certificate.
I have been all day waiting for all day, I called back at 4: 30pm to check what's going on and the reception told me that the doctor was flat out busy and will try to call in the next 30 min. (around 5pm) so I waited till 5: 45pm and found out that they apparently called me at my old mobile number at 5pm. My number had been updated 3 years ago and I found it strange that no one cares. Total waste of time+ now I have to sort myself out and go to the night doctor. Great place and service!

Never on time, usually average of 30 mins late. Today I was there for a thirty second needle appointment and they were 45 minutes late (this was 9am and they were already behind schedule). The doctors could at least pretend to care but they just want you in and out straight away. I’ve been given the wrong antibiotics by Olu Odude, resulting in an eight week long flu and having to go to a different doctors surgeon. ‘Dr’ Sam Takla will just give you a referral and get you out as soon as possible. Not to mention that he finds your symptoms humorous at times, I’ve been laughed at While in pain and a given a referral totally unrelated and unnecessary that I of course did not use. The nurses and reception staff are lovely and very helpful here and I’m sure there are some good doctors, such as Dr Sammer.

Absolutely shocking experience at this medical centre if it's even allowed to be called that, Dr Charles Meribole was absolutely incompetent and arrogant, safe to say i'd rather have 77 apples a day and from that doctor stay away

Lovely doctors who really listen! Dr Will was more helpful in one visit than several other doctor visits in the area. Super grateful!

Could not agree more with Tamara about said staff. If this is a family own/run business then there is a problem

Worst doctor and Absolutely rude and useless.i complained before and I will again- Dr Sam Takla I am confused how he is a doctor. He is so rude, impatient and rushes you. I dont even get the a chance to speak! His daughter is a receptionist and is no better like her dad.several interactions with Dr Takla and the girl at reception and same outcomes. My husband started seeing Dr Samer instead! If you are a doctor or a receptionist there is no place to be arrogant and disrespectful people. The girl could not even do her job properly and needs training.highly rude and requires mannerisms. I would not even hire here to clean the toilets

deficient in communication skills. Rude and ignorant and arrogant. We have told a lot of the community about how horrible this place is. I am thankful that my last appointment neither the doctor or his receptionist were working!
Dr Joane Samer and Dr Solaman is the best doctors. It is a shame they works for a horrible practice. Its not worth my kids coming anymore

doctors use to be great there but not anymore. The nurse is more competent and respectful then the doctors

I came from Seacrest and Padbury medical Centres where I had appalling treatment completely unwarranted and when I most needed help to this lovely friendly and patient medical centre environment. I have been coming here for many years now.

Receptionists and nurse offer good service but the above doctors I've seen (a few times now) just don't seem to care. To be honest I'm not sure why they're doctors, when they have no empathy, no interest in humans nor do they have good bedside manners. I won't bother going back.

This place was great a few years ago with some fantastic doctors, sadly not anymore. Don't waste your time, find somewhere better.

I've heard such good service from a bulk billing practice and seldom have to wait very long they tend to run on time. It's hard to speak highly enough of this practice from my point of view. And I've been very grateful for their help and advice (not all of which I've taken).
