Smith Broughton Auctioneers reviews
25Dealing with Juels is a delight. Very helpful and his honesty is second to none. Being a interstate buyer Jules can not do enough to help. We have now bought five trucks in the last twelve months with more to come.
We would like to thank Peter Calligaro from Smith & Broughton auctioneers, Peter was really helpful and a pleasure to deal with, nothing was too much trouble and stayed in touch. We love our new bus. Thank you so much for all your help, Sandy & Ray.
This review goes to John.the best customer service. Great guy, very easy to deal with. He is a credit to Smith and Broughton midland
Website very poor, lost a lot because of poor site, without any help of fixing site issue, lowest rating ever, thanks for nothing
Firstly I will say that I understand that I should have not bid on an item without travelling 60km for a cement mixer. I have stupidly made the assumption that because it was not listed in the listing that the item is damaged and in a non working condition, like is done in the other listings that this item actually worked.
No not even close.
To find out that you can’t even turn the bowl up because it was bent that badly. The motor has had something driven into the back of it and squashed to a point that it doesn’t work. We’re there photos of any of this in the listing? Yes you are correct NO.
But the photos were taken back far enough to make it look good. Great way to market an item that you are happy to sell without disclosing that it actually doesn’t work.
Spoke with the rep for this item, and Smith and Broughton you need to give this guy a pay rise because with an attitude like his I will find it very difficult to even think about utilising your services in the future.
I would recommend to anyone looking for auctions probably use Pickles.
I was under the impression that if you were selling an item that didn’t work YOU as the auctioneers had a duty to disclose this. Your reps attitude that because you only made $26 out of it, you don’t have to look at these items and disclose everything. Funny how you had the time to take the photos and list it Mr Representative. Pity I don’t have your name to put that on here.
Buyers beware of the deceitful behaviour. It seems to be ok to do. Ask the rep.
Maybe as a suggestion create the ability to give a zero score because one star is way over rated.
In general S&B are a pretty good mob to do business with.
Fairly much no frills but they get the job done.
We have just had a terrific experience dealing with Chris Rocci at Smith Broughton selling one of our machines.it was quick, easy and the communication throughout the live auction kept me up to date for a great result.
These guys are extremely professional. Sent an email with an enquiry and was answered in minutes! Unheard of in today's world.purchase with confidence from these guys.
Fantastic service, they sold our gear fast and achieved a great price for our gear. Aidan McCartan was great to deal with and made the process a breeze.
Highly recommend Smith Broughton if you're looking to sell your equipment.
This is the first time we have put equipment in a auction.
Can’t say enough about the service I received at Smith and Broughton
Aidan McCartan did all the work, he came and picked up the truck, gave it a detail as I wasn’t available.
He was very transparent through out the whole process.
Thanks Aiden
Excellent service from Chris Rocci and the Smith Broughton team, he came to Esperance to look at our sale items
The auction estimate he gave was a fantastic final result
Chris is very knowledgeable and made the whole experience quick and easy.a great hassle free way to sell
I have been buying from this Auction house for over 40 years and they have always gone beyond the norm. I have been lucky to know several of their staff, one that is over and above most is Jules Antenucci.
He has always done his best on the several transactions done with his company. Ask for the man when you next need a down to earth assessment, Jules a man of knowledge.
Thank you for the services provided,
Re Laverton Sam
Not a great experience. We successfully bid on a tractor after being told on the phone it was in running but rough condition. It took over an hour before we could get someone to show us where in the yard it was and help load it. Then we found it was missing some vital parts and clearly has not run in a long time. Our first auction so clearly buyer beware and don't bid without inspection if you don't know what to expect.
Always a great experience when dealing with Smith Broughton Auctioneers! Will definitely be returning.
Great auction place again it is buyer beware some of these vehicles come from mines. So do your due diligence.
This was by far the best experience I have ever had with any Auction houses in Perth.
From the lovely lady in the reception to all the yard people, they were simply fantastic, respectful, helpful and one big happy team.
I wish them all well.
The only problem I've EVER had with buying goods at auction is when I didn't inspect the goods. After 20 years of buying from them I've found Smith Broughton to be an ethical company. If you want a bargain the onus is on the buyer to inspect the item.
That young fella Mich is really something, great attitude, professional and efficient. He has really made my experience at Smith and Broughtons enjoyable!
Beware of their online auctions, they advertised 2 Kva Yamaha powered Generators, they are new and in the box, these are not Yamaha, and they are definitely not 2Kva, they are only 1.6, but you don't know this until you've paid for them and opened the box to get the instruction book, also beware, their is no warranty. I rang Callum Smith and explained that they would not operate my air conditioner as they were not 2 Kva as advertised, he said there was nothing he would do, I will refer it to consumer protection. I will never trust these people again.
Won a trailer which stated 2.4 wide by 3m even there invoice stated this when home measured it 2m by 3 meters sent email never replied havent bought again from them.
