Sistas Burns Beach Cafe & Restaurant reviews
45I suppose using the discount voucher from the Entertainment Book lessened the disappointment. If you're by the beach, you should be able to get fish and chips right. Nice setting though.
Nicely located and ideal for breakfast or lunch after a relaxing walk.simple but good food at reasonable prices and coffee is ok.best beachside cafe in the northern suburbs
What a perfect location. They've turned this place into a iconic place to go to have a coffee have a lunch or a feed, is right opposite the beach and just has the wow factor. It ticks all the boxes, food is just perfect as is the service.
I haven't eaten here before as usually when I walk along Burns Beach it's on a weekend and the cafe is really packed, but today I went on a Monday and it wasn't as busy, so after our walk we sat with the dog & had a bite to eat and a coffee. I've been having trouble finding a good coffee in WA recently, or good food, but the coffee here was yummy, and the panko crumbled mushroom burger was delicious!
I recalled having a great experience last year with the calamari squid as an entree. But today was a little disappointing from other menu offerings.
Worst burger I have ever seen! There was a centimeter of oil left on the plate after I picked it up from the plate. The bread was dripping in oil and soggy. Will NEVER return
Loved the beach walk and the cafe was super conveniently located for a nice stop to recharge with tea, coffee or a muffin.
$6.20 for a large FW coffee is expensive so if I am paying top price then I expect my coffee to be extra hot as ordered and a full mug without a lot of froth. Yes I'm fussy and my expectations of the barista are very high at such prices which haven't quite come up to scratch.
The food here was delicious the staff were very nice and the general atmosphere and location of this place are most excellent and IMO deserves 5 stars. The only reason they were not is due to the cleanliness or lack there of. The napkins that were provided for us on our table were used and dirty we had to request new ones. Then when my wife's coffee arrived the mug was dirty and looked like it hadn't been washed photo included. This was enough for me to drop the two stars.
Very tasty food, fast service considering how busy they were. A friend ordered a pot of tea that was very weak but my coffee was great
My sister and I went for breakfast for her birthday with my two dogs. It had been raining and all the tables outdoors were wet. We stood in the undercover area looking for a staff member to ask where we could sit with our dogs. A lady rudely approached us (I'm assuming she was the owner but did not even identify that she worked there) and said that we had to sit outside and dogs were not allowed in this area as they get in the way and "put the customers off", she pointed to the wet tables and did not offer to wipe them down. I asked another staff member who was really friendly who let us sit on the end table of the undercover area, understanding that this isn't really the dog area but it had been raining. The same lady then approached us and said "I have already told you, you are not allowed to sit here, I will let it slide this time". Would not recommend this as a dog friendly cafe even though it is advertised as one. Its a shame that the other staff are so friendly and one lady made us feel so uncomfortable.
Really friendly staff and good dairy free snack options. Great to grab takeaway and walk along the beach. Beautiful location.
$25 for a burger seemed very pricey, but my Texan Burger was delicious! The arancini balls were very good too, with lots of saucey goodness involved.
What a great cafe right next to the beautiful Burns Beach. A lovely casual restaurant and cafe serving modern Aussie meals, greet coffee and a menu for pooches. It’s located in a very quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle. The beach is beautiful, although unpatrolled. The coastal walking track and cycle way is right at the front door. Plenty of parking which was free. Opposite us a park for children with tables and chairs for picnics. Public toilets are nearby also. Just a beautiful spot for a relaxing lunch or coffee. Highly recommended!
A very needed break from a Iluka walk along Iluka beach. This cafe is pleasant and close to other amenities. Food, drink and service were good.
Terrible service and the food is well below average. Go here if you like waiting around at least 50 minutes for a disappointing meal.
Food here is awful, “toast” is stale bread (not toasted, or warm at all”. Waited 50 minutes for mushrooms and smashed avo. Left our meals after even waiting this long as it tasted like rubbish. 50$ later.
Food is expensive and Im thinking not as good as even a few months ago. Unfortunately, a trip to the toilet exposed a dismal unisex toilet, unkempt and ni hand towels. I did mention to staff, not in the form of complaint but as an observation and mostly because we were entertaining our relstives from the UK. Hoping the staff take on board this review as this cafe inls very fortunate to be in such a.prime location and staff are friendly and accommodating.
Lovely location, the raw slices are delicious but.the cafe itself could do with a makeover, it's overpriced, poor menu selection for vegetarians/vegans and the staff aren't overly welcoming or friendly. The lady who took my order actually made me feel bad for asking for a particular sized slice. I'm a tea & coffee drinker but don't find either something to come back for. Perhaps a few more different flavours would be nice. Sorry for being critical but this is constructive criticism.
Nice bagel & coffee. But I've never paid $6.50 for a coffee.especially when I have brought my own keep cup.
Males for an expensive breakfast!
