Sir James Mitchell Park reviews
70 Enormous park set along the Swan River with plenty of gazebos, BBQs, playground facilities, toilets cafes, and more
Get your toes wet and walk along the river or go out on a catamaran for adventure
Plenty of options just be sure to pay for parking in pay areas as ranger is always writing tickets
Nice view of the city and waterfront for a morning walk. Plenty of grassed area for picnic too
Lovely place. Separate cycle and pedestrian lanes, benches, parks, view of the Perth city skyline, well maintained lawns. Oh, and it's free! A very calm or energetic place, however you want it.
Excellent geographical location, staff member Kelly was amazing, the cabin was clean, needed some work in the bathroom. I would stay there again. Recommend the $185.00 per night (off peak) ocean view cabins which I didn't have. The pictures, taken as sunset, show the view over the ocean and what these cabins overlook. Book early.
Beautiful restful Park to view the Perth foreshore. Lots of people enjoying the warm weather and cityscape
Great little spot with playground for kids, public BBQs and toilets. Covered picnic tables and some outdoor fitness equipment. Free parking in Saturday's and Sundays.
The park was so much fun for the kids. They loved the open spaces for running around and the crossing over the bridges of the stream running through the park. Cool to see a wheelchair accessible swing as well. Great spot located on the Swan River looking across to the city.
A splendid place to walk, amble, cycle, play, boat, wade, sightsee. Public conveniences, seats, playground, cafe/restaurant available. Access via public bus and river ferry, as well as paid car parking (first hour free).
Very nice area for a family picnic it is paid parking but plenty of shade and space for games if you have children present
Always love hanging out here. Quiet, great views of the city, cycle track, walking lane, or just to chat and have a picnic.
Amazing view of the CBD of Perth and a Very nice park and kids play ground area seems clean good for social gatherings with family and friends it's very open has plenty of parking, gardens are looked after with nice plants the public toilets here look a bit old did use them but I'm sure giving the state of how nice this place is I'm sure there cleaned to perfection
Excellent park, great views of the city. Path way along river (watch out for the cyclists though, come past at speed).
Parking seem adequate and is free.
Good access for mobility impaired with pathways.
Not very many bin though?
Good venue for a family picnic. Can be quite busy on public holidays but that did not deter the enjoyment of our picnic.
One of the largest and most beautiful parks in Perth. So many weddings and diverse people, fun to watch. The lighting in kiosks are poor and were flashing. Many hot plates were out of order and this was a disappointment.
This is a great destination to start a nice stroll along to river. Lots of shady places if you just want to sit on the grass
Lovely spot for recreation. A new feature was the food trucks. That makes it even more convenient for a picnic. We did a 2km stroll by the water while the kids rode their rollerblades. It is a safe spot where kids can roam freely. We ended up at the playground which was fairly crowded. It was a lovely 2 hours from 4 to 6pm and the weather was perfect as well with a cool wind blowing.
Nice place, but very busy. Not great for young kids as there's too many bike-riders on the paths and my kids couldn't keep left!
It was wonderful Park, amazing perth views, so many lovely people and breathtaking sky and river colour!? I remember everyone to visit ️️️
Great walk along the south side of the river with an excellent view of the city. Always crowds of people out walking after work.
