Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital reviews
84Amazing staff and quick service. I appreciate the doctors and nurses who work in emergency. I wish them all merry Christmas and happy new year
Cannot thank everyone at SCGH enough for the care and compassion received last month. A special thanks to the nursing staff in G62 Cardiothoracic Ward for looking after me, post open heart surgery, you are all amazing caregivers.
Very busy emergency department but very well managed.
Staff were very professional.
I had a fractured ankle and was seen by a doctor fairly promptly. Then offered food and drink to take with medication they gave me.
Then quite a bit of wait for x-ray and physio but eventually doctor came with results.
Then more waiting time to see physio but Physio was very, very good at explaining how to move with moonboot and crutches.
Overall, long waiting but worth it.
Thank you to all staff who looked after me.
These professionals saved my life! Probably THE best medical treatment I have received. The system was effective, efficient and practical. Thank you, I am forever ingratiated
Spent a bit of time at Immunology for desensitisation. What an excellent service. Staff were so professional, knowledgeable and kind. It's good to know you're in good hands when it matters most.
I've been all over this place, from lung, endocrinology, heamatology and podiatry. The staff have always been excellent to me.
Recently had the podiatry experience, wow they don't mess around. Very professional and kind, listened to my concerns. Vascular surgeons, anisthesiologists and the short stay unit were my carers this week. Again exceptional staff, can't thank them all enough, oh can't forget the unit you go to immediately after surgery (yet I totally forgot the name) the staff there went above and beyond.
Thank you all
Went to Sir Charles Gardner hospital by ambulance on 3 separate occasions with leg pain, was given mild pain relief and then told not to come back. Shortly after I needed an ambulance which took me to RPH only to be told I had Cancer. Well done RPH.
My Irish Nurse Val was lovely taking care of me! Had a lovely experience getting my foot fixed up by her & the registrar Danusha
Had to take my 86 yr old father with dementia down yesterday cos he was unable to walk and felt off. We were assessed by triage and taken straight through. He was kept in overnight for observations and we got answers the next day (existing condition we need to manage differently) thankfully. My dad normally resides remotely and his wife was very happy with the thorough checking.
Much love to all the help we had last night, Jnr Doc Hamish, Nurse Lexi in ED, and then on ward, snr nurse Chris and Jnr nurse George and many more I don't know the names of. Forever grateful, thanks for doing what u do?
What can I say! I was in G section in yeh hospital for the night & day for surgery. The staff was fantastic and so lovely. Looking after me & made me feel relaxed before surgery. The food was yummy and it was very quiet at night to sleep. Thank you making stay great!
I can't say enough good things about the staff and the hospital thank you so much for everything
This hospital is the true gem in the crown of the Medical community of Western Australia. The care taken — from the moment that one comes to the emergency department is truly amazing and special.
One of my brothers was admitted into ICU after a massive heart attack from a defective heart valve. The staff kept us fully informed with what was happing when we visited every day and the level of care and attention given to my unconscious brother was very comforting. I actually originally thought Sir Charles Gairdner was a private hospital because of the professionalism and sincerity of the doctors and nurses.
Thank you to nurse Mike, Dr Waleed, paramedic Clay and admin Lynn and everyone else on shift. You were so kind and patient.
Thanks for the kind and empathetic care by the ER team for my mother yesterday. Everyone was so lovely, working under hard conditions. Thank you!
My mum Mrs Ping and our whole family are so appreciate with Dr Ran li and his team from Breast Center. He did a great surgery for my mum's breast cancer and cholecystectomy. Dr Ran Li with kind heart is really taking care about patient's feeling, especially for my mum. She was very frustrated since she knew the cancer and almost upsetting everyday after that, however she was feeling much better after the first appointment with Dr Ran Li. He is very kind person with strong knowledge and professional attitude to explain anything we asked related to the surgery and recovery in a very gentle way and patience. I can say that he is the best doctor I have seen in my life. A great doctor is a real asset for the hospital. I and my whole family want to thank again to Dr Ran Li and the team from Breast Center. Thanks you all to save my mum's life.
On behalf of my mum and myself, we want to say huge thank you firstly to staff in Ambulance. Earle and Rood (sorry spelling not correct) On Saturday mum had high blood pressure feeling lethargic, sick. They are so gentle, caring, nice, kind there is no enough world to describe such a nice and professional people. Mum cant speak English but they are managed special conversation with her. Mum spent night in ED staf there as well, 10 stars. Especially Natalie, mum apologise to others doesn't know names, thank you very much.
The cancer team at SCGH were amazing. All my nurses were kind and caring, they made me feel very comfortable despite just having brain surgery. The radiotherapy and chemotherapy team were awesome. My radiation oncologist, Dr Mandy Taylor, has been excellent post chemo and radiation, giving me all the information I need without fluffing around or sugar-coating anything. For any younger cancer patients I would also highly recommend heading to the Youth Cancer Centre as they are an extremely supportive and awesome team:)
Excellent service and treatment at Emergency. A relatively minor bee sting had turned nasty, I was almost embarrassed to attend. However, Nurse Denise assured me I had done the right thing. She patiently sawed a ring from my balloon-like finger, and reassured me all the way. Thank you!
In the last ten days I’ve had conversations with two members of staff re my coming operation.
Eunice who deals with bookings has wonderful people skills. She’s incredibly patient and helpful, something you don’t always find in todays world. She’s a credit to the hospital.
The other who’s name I don’t remember, a male dealing with orthopaedics was just as obliging, kind caring with no urgency to get you off the phone. Attitudes like this are refreshing, it makes a huge difference.
