Singapore Airlines Silver Kris Lounge - Perth Airport reviews
47Such an inflexible airline. We bought flexi tickets and wanted to change dates and the tickets happened to be $2000 cheaper. Singapore air refuses to refund us the fare difference even though they will profit from someone else booking our original tickets which will be much more expensive now anyway. They’re quite happy to take your money when the fare difference is higher though! They should really reassess this strategy. Competitors like Qantas are much more customer centric in this regard. This is theft of money.
The lounge had a Southeast Asian dish called nasi lemak, which is rice topped with spicy chili sauce, vegetables, and eggs.
The taste is quite spicy.
Mashed potatoes were delicious.
There are also cup ramen noodles available in bags with potato chips.
There was also cake, and the plates on which it was served were stylish.
On the way, I received a mini meat pie from the lounge staff.
After asking other people if they wanted to serve or not, I handed them out.
In the lounge, the staff went to the audience seats,
I don't think it's very common in Japan to get food as a service.
A bit smaller then I expected, good selection of foods. I just don’t like the close seatings and facing arrangement. Wifi speed is very good. Plenty of power points with usb ports. But most importantly the barista coffee is top notch
The new lounge is coming soon, and hopefully, a major improvement on the current offering.
Gold class frequent flyer. On entry had to choose between my wife and 11 year old son as guest. Small dingey.yuck.stayed 15 minutes and left. Worst lounge I have ever been in.
Awful reception. No leeway for passengers who normally fly business class. Could not upgrade my booking as the flight is full. Having spent over $10k on business class flights on this trip I felt like I had committed a crime. Such an arrogant ignorant approach to customer service. I will not use this airline again, and of course inform my colleagues of this experience.
Brilliant service and facilities.
Peace of mind with Singapore Airlines Silver.
Thank you
Jess is legendary. Polite, unobtrusive and extremely helpfull.
Its a breathe of fresh air to be spoilt by people of her calibre.
When we were approaching the Business class check in counter (with no queue whatsoever) one of your staff took it upon herself to ask if we are in Business class. Snooty and said without a smile. Not world class by a mile. Such a comment is non value adding and offensive. We can read.
As a local Perth sandgroper who had the privilege to fly various airlines from Perth overseas over the years, I found the SIA Silverkris Lounge in Perth international airport is a great one in comparison with the other options.
If you can manage your expectation that Perth is still a ‘relatively’ small city and not a major hub such as Sydney, Singapore or Dubai, for SIA to have its own lounge that’s dedicated to only 3 daily flights currently is a commendable customer services to passengers in Perth.
Compared that to them having only a partner lounge access only at a much bigger hub such as Kuala Lumpur with much more SIA flights daily.
We enjoyed their barista service offering freshly brewed mocha for me, & hot choc for my kids. The food selection is modest but decent & delicious, as is the drinks choice.
Of note is their exceptional customer services, from the front counter gentleman to all the floor staff and barista on the morning of 28/1/23.
Even though they only have a bathroom as reflected by their modest size, it was readily available during our stay.
A very pleasant retreat before boarding right outside gate 54 for our SIA flight to Singapore.
A very small lounge so it felt quite cramped. There was some light food available and drinks to pour yourself. Better than nothing though and the staff were lovely, particularly the man at the desk.
Well, what a disappointment this lounge is. This is the first time we have flown Singapore airlines business class, and if their lounge at Perth is anything to go by its pretty disappointing. In fact its the business class lounge I have ever been in. Now I appreciate they don’t fly an A380 out of Perth like Emirates do, and so the lounge will cater for far less people, but that does not excuse it at all. Everyone here has paid a lot of money for their ticket, and so deserve a better offering than this. Its a square room, with rows of square, upright bucket seats. I’ve been in bus depots with more comfortable seating, and a better feeling. The food tastes OK, but the offering is very limited. As for the so-called deserts, well I think I will skip commenting on that. The drinks range is OK, well it is if you want alcohol of Coke. Absolutely no alcohol free beer or wine, which given how popular that is becoming now in the UK, USA and Australia, its not good enough. The only soft drinks are Coke or diet coke, no lemonade, orange, ginger beer etc. Unless the flights back to the UK, and the lounge in Singapore is way way better, this will be the one and only time we fly Singapore business. It will be back to Emirates, as they clearly value their customers more. Oh, and I forgot, no shower, and only a single WC for males and females. Pathetic.
Located next to Gate 54 at Perth’s International Terminal, this is one of least impressive Silver Kris Lounge we have ever been to next to the one at Kuala Lumpur.
Opened in 2006, it looks dated and in need of a serious refurbishment to look like it’s other cousins around the world.
Service though remains good and selection, still recommended
Very small space for the lounge - There was a limited selection of foods and beverages although could request additional options from the staff. Area just felt a little claustrophobic. Staff were friendly and attentive though.
Refused to allow star alliance gold into the lounge. Staff said singapore air lounge in perth is not included.
Rather simple kris lounge. Lots of liquor to choose from food is decent. Very friendly, welcoming staff
No gluten free options. Very limited and feel like you are sitting in a large storeroom with no windows.
The lounge itself is tiny and unremarkable - just some armchairs crammed into the room and some little side tables. The decor felt more like a hospital waiting area than an airport lounge.
The food selection included sliders, green curry and rice (which was cold), and some dumplings that looked dry and cold.
When we visited (3.00pm on a Thursday), the lounge was really busy, so it felt even more crammed.
To be honest, it wasn't any better than sitting outside in the departures hall.
Not bad for a lounge but only thing is there is no shower room in the lounge. Shower room is available in the public area and due to the fact it not well maintained. As for the lounge food was great and drink selection was fantastic. Only thing is if there is more selection for Australian beer.
Small lounge located in Perth Airport exclusively for passengers flying on SQ. Lounge looks dated and in desperate need for refurbishment. Buffet spread was decent but could be further improved (no fruits, light bites or bread). Lack of shower rooms and toilets (only 1 male and 1 female toilet) in lounge.
