Sia’s Kitchen

Coming from Singapore, this place passes the test for good, simple Asian food. Beef in the noodles was very tender and using Udon noodle topped the dish off nicely.

The spicy chicken fried rice is not very tasty, it is very salty when mixed with Laoganma sauce. It doesn't really work. This kind of taste might not be available in China.and the price is not cheap either.

Spent a few days in Albany and went back here every day:) food is so so yummy and fresh and the staff are so friendly!

The steamed prawns were fresh & tasty. The wontons could've had a bit more filling as did the Sesame Seed Balls. But all in all it suited us fine.

The food here is so tasty, full of flavour, and delicious. Some of the best food I've had in a long time while eating out. Prices are great too and staff friendly. Can't wait to come back. Thank you:)

0/5 would be my rating for the experience I had at Sia's Kitchen, however 1/5 is the lowest rating available on Google. We ordered a serve of Spicy Pork Steamed Buns ($8 for 2), and a serve of Steamed Chicken Dumplings ($10 for 6).

The TL;DR version of my review: I would not recommend eating here.

The Spicy Pork Steamed Buns had a dry exterior and was rubbery - like it was not just stale, but also microwave reheated multiple times before? Tearing through the rubbery exterior of the bun revealed a mildly odd smelling lump of what looked like over-handled rissole meat - the taste was a little tangy, definitely not spicy per se, and not something we felt comfortable eating. For me, for the first time in years, I actually spat what I'd begun to chew into a napkin. Least to say, no, I would not recommend this item to anyone that wants to eat food.

The Steamed Chicken Dumplings here were served quite obviously fried. Perhaps they had at some point been steamed? To me, texturally, the wrapper was thick, rubbery, and as you can see in the image, had been fried - there's a probability that these items too had been microwaved to achieve that unpleasant, dry rubbery texture. The filling in these dumplings could have been made of anything really - it made me think of bad, fish and chip store dimsim filling. No, I would not recommend this item to anyone that wants to eat food.

I obviously have a different perspective and expectation of what "steamed dumplings" are than the people that run Sia's Kitchen. It's likely also that I have a different perspective of what I consider edible food than the people that run Sia's Kitchen.

At least what they served up was temperature-wise, hot. BUT, fair to say that this is not a place I would return to.

Had the most amazing prawn dumplings the other night and then ordered the prawn fried rice tonight which was absolutely delicious! Service was super speedy and the staff were really friendly! Definitely
recommend checking it out.

I don’t understand why they do not seal it properly, we ordered the soup and 3 more things but the soup leak out of the bag and messed up in the car! You should do it properly!

I love the menu items at Sias kitchen and I keep coming back because of them but unfortunately my experience of the food has been that it is not authentic in taste or ingredients. I lived in China for several years and some of the menu items on Sias menu I ate multiple times in multiple locations in China and it was always similar only to find that the 'same' food was completely different at Sias kitchen. I appreciate that the jiaozi and baozi are homemade though! They are delicious and the service has always been good.

Disappointed- not with meal but how they deceive with the order. Charged me more for extra vegies, got home and open the container to find extra rice with normal serve of vegies. So disappointed

Definitely recommend Sia’s Kitchen! Would definitely come back if we visit Albany again!

Food was amazing and very affordable. Good portion sizes at low prices. You can tell everything is truly made fresh and with the best ingredients.

We go to Sia's all the time. It's such a cute cozy spot and the food is great. My choice: Spicy chicken rice bowl.

I've dumpling soup with noodle and it taste really good. For the 1st time, I finished the soup which I never do it but this taste so good til can't help it.

Really delicious food! Different to other Chinese takeaways I've had.this seemed more authentic with deep flavours.

Had lunch so fresh and tasty. Do your self a favour and try the dumplings and rice paper rolls. We are working our way through the menu.
