Absolutely delicious, will be back for more. The size of their prawns have gotten much smaller since the last time we were here.

I quit my CBD Job and moved out of the city and this is what I miss the most.

Best place to get Malaysian / Singaporean cuisine in the city. Competitively priced, specials are announced in advance, and consistently fantastic. Chef is from Singapore. Never tried the Japanese food.

While the shop is named Japanese, the daily specials are Malaysian and Singapore’s popular food at a decent price.
I found the taste authentic, and if you asked, some dishes also come with their special chilli sauces.
Chef Dan is one of the hardest working chef owners I know, personally doing delivery for all the orders across the Perth suburbs during lunch and dinner.

Tip: the queue and wait time can start to get quite long during peak lunch time because of their success, so you can preorder via phone or WhatsApp Chef Dan or the restaurant beforehand to save some time

Sushi packs are Cheap n (not quite) Nasty

Cautionry tale, thought I’d try a new Japanese style restaurant for lunch in which my food was ok. No complaints however if you’d like a set of chopsticks expect to pay 20c well if they inform you and not just charge you without saying anything.

I would prefer to be informed about an added expense over find out later once I’ve payed.
Don’t appreciate it.

A hidden gem in the city for amazing Singaporean hawker food! The owner Daniel runs a daily local specials menu, featuring hawker faves such as prawn & ribs noodle soup, bak chor mee, rochor noodles, katong laksa, etc. Shogun's version of prawn and ribs noodle soup is one of the best we've ever had, which has a rich prawn infused broth and melt-in-your-mouth ribs.so so good!

Love the quality of food and the service is top notch. Daniel is 10/10 when it comes to cooking his dishes. Love the rochore mee and many other weekdays special. Lately he did the hainan chicken rice and it is simply WOW.

I don’t live in Perth but whenever I’m here - this is where I go for food in the city.

Laksa was really yummy! Just wanna say thank you for putting laksa leaves in the laksa! Only place in Perth (I’ve been to so far) that puts in the extra effort to not use parsley or other herbs in their Singaporean laksa!

Even they sell sushi, it is the place to go for everyday special order Singapore's street food. Check with the owner for what's on special for the week. Highly recommended. Our favorite lunch place.

Not sure about the food but the customer service is really bad. Super impolite, doesn’t make eye contact, and just overall body language implied the staff at counter did not want to take my order.

Who puts ketchup on everything including the salad. Food also doesn't look and taste fresh enough. The bento set doesn't use Japanese rice.

Best Japanese food joint in the city! They offer a wide variety of food, and always fresh and delicious. Must try their salmon sashimi, grilled salmon, katsu chicken and teriyaki chicken bento and sushi etc.

Good value for what you get in a bento box, fruits a nice little finisher, but I've had better.

Bento Box is the best. Everytime I'm in Perth I come straight here for a chicken bento box breakfast. It's stage 1 in beating the jet lag and has become a bit of a ritual for me.

This place has been a favourite of mine for a long time, their bentos are delicious and very filling. 10/10
