The drs when you actually get to see them are good. But the service is poor. Every time I have been here the dr is over 45 minutes to 1 hour late for the appointment booked. Then getting an appointment to discuss very important ultra sound results was hard work. Being told I can't get an appointment for about a week to get in with any dr at all for even just a phone consult to be referred to the hospital was days/a week. I ended up going to a different gp and had everything sorted. They then called me a week later to ask me to book an appointment to receive my results. Pretty poor form considering my circumstances were urgent.

Dr Fatima is really good. But a few of the reception staff, as others have said are really rude. Morgan clearly hates her job and all the centre's customers. She says she doesnt care if you didnt get your script for vital meds. She couldnt take an accurate message if it killed her. She yelled at me when I asked to speak to a manager because at age 60 I expect to be talked to with respect. Yelled twice that the centre doesnt have a manager. Morgan should be aware that if someone suffers because of her actions that she is NOT covered by surgery indurance and can be personally sued. A candidate, as the novel says, for the 'charm school'.

My usual doctor was always away then only taking phone appointments So had to see other doctors. Majority of the new receptionists are rude and very blunt, not helpful either.
One receptionist charged me full price after waiting 1.5 hours for my appointment. The receptionist next to her got involved and was snarky. Very unprofessional and don't know what they're doing. Nor do they check the client's profile before charging the wrong amount.
Another receptionist sent my referral the day after I needed it, very slack.
My doctor didn't send a script or referral and was told to make another appointment when its not my fault the doctor forgot.all they had to do was leave the doctor a note or call their line to ask them to sort it. Not hard.

Dr Sam Hanna has cancelled on literally half my appointments. I get a call an hour before after sometimes waiting a full week to see him. This is unacceptable and totally unprofessional. I know him and his wife personally but I feel this must be said as he needs to accept responsibility for his actions.

Dr Saad is easily the best Dr I've had in my 68 years. He is dedicated, extremely knowledgeable, thorough, approachable and listens to you. My husband and I are very happy with his treatment of us and we certainly have no plans to go to any other Doctor.
The staff are very helpful, pleasant and well organised.

Very disappointed and upset. My 9 month old is unwell and I called them to make a last minute appointment. I told them that he was having cold and flu like symptoms and asked what their rules are - I would have to wait in the car and call reception when I arrived, I was told. Which is what I did, but once the doctor called me back, he turned me away because I hadn't done a rat or pcr test on my baby. No mention of that when I was on the phone with them. After covid has been around for 2 years, I would expect them to know their policies and handle this kind of situation better.

Waited an hour over my appointment booking just to be told to go else where.
Update iv now waited 1 hour 20 minutes for an appointment and I'm still waiting. Seems like they will never get better

Totally unprofessional practice all up, from the reception staff to the Doctor. I had a prebooked appointment as a new patient, waited almost an hour only to hear the doctor tell the receptionist to make sure I was billed for not turning up, pointed out I had been there for almost an hour waiting, he saw me about ten minutes later. I booked a follow up appointment online (for test results) only to be told when I got there that no such appointment existed even though I had a confirmation email of the appointment. Doctor never wore his mask properly (had it under his chin) both times I was there and yet the receptionists were telling patients they couldn't come in without a mask on!

Unfortunately I have to agree with many comments on here. My doctors are great but the waiting time in the clinic and to call through are truly unacceptable. They have 3 staff sitting in reception area yet I'm often on hold for 15 to 20 minutes as a minimum. They really need to get these issues resolved. So many reviews can't be wrong.

I have been a patient for many years at this practice. Having just recovered from covid, I called for a temporary exemption in line with the ATAGI guidelines, only to be called an anti-vaxxer and refused. I have my pcr results uploaded on my health record. Dr Law made me feel like a criminal. Never going back there again.

Wouldn't come back here again. Not my normal doctor but had a broken foot. Was booked in for an appointment within 30 minutes of opening and they were already over an hour behind?

Very disappointed. Was referred by my naturapth, am trying to conceive and need bloods done as I suffer from PCOS. I was running 8 minutes late due to work and traffic, 2 minutes away from there and they wouldn't see me. Unbelievably unaccomodating

Don’t go you wait stupid amounts of time to be seen and they can’t even get there booking system correct there are many more reliable doctor surgeries around

I rang 9305 3232 many times to cancel a Covid appointment so that
someone else could use the slot.
A message was aired and then the message said Goodbye.
I was not able to cancel my slot.
Also, the website directed to 9563 1661 for cancelling appointments.
I rang this and was informed they are no longer connected to Shenton Medical centre.
Please get your act together Shenton Medical centre.

Dr Sam Hanna was so incredibly rude to me. He made me feel so uncomfortable and continued to talk down to me through out my very short appointment, which he was over an hour late for. He refused to listen to me when explaining what was wrong. This ruined my day, would not recommend him to ANYONE.

Very happy to recommend. Even though very busy, the reception staff were friendly and welcoming. The Dr’s I’ve seen have listened and asked questions. So different from so many places that rush u out the door before you get the answers that you need.
I will definitely be coming back.

40min wait time for my baby’s appointment, had to wait in car. No advise that they were running so late, pretty rough with a screaming child the whole time. Once we saw the dr no apology for being so late and she got me in and out of the office in 3 minutes.

Another time 30 min wait and charged for longer appointment as the printer broke and dr had to get it fixed. Consult with the dr was only 5 minutes. $50 out of pocket expense for this terrible experience.

Do not recommend and will not return.

Very friendly medical centre. Dr Janet Hutchens is amazing. I've seen her for a few reasons and every time she's so lovely and thorough. I always feel like I'm in good hands at this medical centre. Thanks team.
