Shalimar Curries reviews
55Always excellent Indian food. The goat curry, the naan, the gulab jamens - it's all great!
Shalimar has got to be the most consistently delicious curry place in Perth. It is exceptional every time I order it, honestly cannot go wrong with this place. SO delicious
Tried the tandoori chicken and i feel it's the best I've had in Perth so far.
Great taste and value for money
Extremely bad experience. I ordered Malai kofta over the phone. Online price showing is $17.50, but when I went to collect the food, they charged me $19.50 and told me prices have changed and increased. Online prices are misleading. The girl on the counter didn't even bother to charge me $17.50 and apologised. Very very bad customer service. I would recommend everyone to confirm the price over the phone if ordering takeaway.
$48 for a butter chicken, dal and rice or$12 per modest meal serving. Great food but not twice as good as a pho or laksa from the nearby food court. I will be looking for more budget friendly alternatives I’m afraid.
Removed 1 star not for the food itself only because I feel like you need to climb over people eating to pick up your food.
The food is pretty good, but when I order take away they charge me more than what it shows on the website. Noticing high price difference since a longtime. They should update their online price.
They are easily the best curry within delivery distance of us. Their depth of flavours is significantly better than any of the other places I've tried.
It was my first time visiting the place and had just some chicken biryani and it was literally the best biryani I've ever had in perth. Looking forward to trying many more dishes.
Everyone should definitely try this place, too good.
The staff was very lovely was well.
Thanks guys
Highly recommended! We have had consistently great food from here, never disappointed. Last night we ordered the Beef Pepper Masala and the Kadai Paneer, both were so tasty and the garlic and chilli naan complemented them beautifully. Thanks Shalimar for keeping us well fed and happy!
I cannot understand why simple takeaway or home delivery can be so terribly executed. This place has nice curries and food. But delivery and takeaway is ALWAYs late. Food lid left opened causing a mess.
Great food. Usually busy and eat in can be cramped. Take care, online take away menu (eg June 2022) sometime out of date so bill was 25% higher than expected.
Best Indian food in the West (ern Suburbs). Dining in can be very noisy though, especially on the busier nights
(27 May 2022) still great food; but please update your website to reflect the current prices. They're way behind.
Food was great and the service was good. Would recommend it to anyone. BYO if you want a drink.
We didn't get to eat anything because all attention was on takeaways. We were given water and then completely ignored so we walked out.
Went for dinner yesterday. Food was good, No complains but the customer service from one of front staff was very bad. No napkins were provided. She didn't bother to smile while taking orders and paying the bills. Felt like ignorance. Maybe she was on stress.
I had a really great spicy curry here. Asked for hot vindaloo and it was great. Ring of fire guaranteed.
Ordered Briani and a curry. The food were too hot for medium.
Still I won’t hesitate to give it a 5 because mistakes do happen. May b next time I’ll just order mild/medium
The food were delicious but just bit too hot
Went for dinner on Friday night. Place was very busy. Both with diners and takeaway orders. Only one staff at the front taking the orders and also waiting on dine in customers.
Took little while for taking the order but the food arrived in good time. Entree kebab and chicken 65 was delicious, chicken tikka biryani- good portion size, had more of a tawa pulao taste to it. Keema naan was tasty. Reasonably priced dishes. Hope the front staff get more help.
I'm giving it a three because I ordered from here recently and I found pieces of long hair inside the bag of my garlic naan. This was so disappointing for me, as I find the food amazing here. But since the hair incident I don't think I will order from here again.
However, don't let my review discourage you, the food here is absolutely delicious.
But as a caution please check the insides of the bags of your naan bread. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.
