Settlers Rest Farmstay

We’ve just had a few wonderful days at Settlers Rest Farmstay. The animals are so friendly and the chickens did a great job laying lots of eggs for us. The house is just gorgeous and so comfortable and the owners were so helpful and chatty. Cannot wait to come back again in winter and light the fire

It was an enjoyable stay of 2 nights
My boys loved feeding the animals up close. We got to pet the horses, collect fresh eggs and we could feed the animals anytime.
The cottage was a real eye opener especially for city folks like us. It’s like being transported back to the last century.
Only drawback were the planes flying overhead which would affect light sleepers.

Great farmstay near Perth City. The owners were warm and welcoming. Great experience for kids, and near Whiteman area which houses Caversham Wildlife Park, and the Swan Valley trail (nuts, nougat, honey, fruits). Highly recommended!

Lovely stay, such a peaceful and quiet location. Kids loved the animals and surroundings as did my wife and I. Being able to walk around in fresh air away from the concrete city really does relax you. Wildlife is wonderful too. The house has a long history and a very nice feel to it. Extremely well looked after.

Owners of the farm stay are living next doors. Very friendly folks and this place is a great opportunity for city dwellers to really enjoy and appreciate the rustic environment of a farm. The 1843 built house was moved if you read the story behind it. But heater and aircon is installed so not lacking. Highlight has to be around the farm animals.

Wonderful wonderful wonderful stay. We love the adorable vintage restored farmhouse. Farmer Ron and Corinne are most lovely. The animals are all very friendly! Our 9yo and 6yo enjoyed it so much they want to “stay in perth forever and be farmers”.

What a dream! Thank you so much for our relaxing stay in an idyllic location. Animals truely loved and cared for, beautiful old Australian farmhouse and generous, nice hosts… we could ask for nothing more! We will be back!

Perfect. So tranquil, can’t hear any cars or hustle and bustle and still a very short drive from the CBD. Also 5 minutes from lots of things to do in the Swan Valley, close to food, drink, supermarkets if you need.

Loads of friendly farm animals on site that you can feed.

Views from the patio of the valley and Swan River, quaint fully self-contained house with loads of historic character, couldn’t have been happier with our stay.
