Searipple Village Karratha reviews
48Rooms are old and poorly kept. There is no action on service requests. Poor lighting throughout camp, doublegees in grass areas. Coffee machine out of order, food not kept up in crib area. Not the worst camp I've stayed in, but then the others were in the middle of nowhere, I'm not sure what the excuse is here. Overall a pretty dismal experience
I'm on the night shift. 7am in the morning I have to sleep. But they are doing landscaping next door.amazing.no housekeeping and i put Nightshift front door they cant even read English. And kitchen? Oh some chef give there friends two steaks. Others? Only one steak per day
The rooms like a Porta cabin. Nobody take care of cleaning your room. After lot of request finally they came for cleaning.
Food was same every day in mess area.
After reading a bad review, I approached Searipple Village Karratha with skepticism. However, my stay turned out to be better than expected, especially having experienced worse accommodations in the past. The food choices remained the same throughout my stay, which was a minor letdown. The gym definitely needs a revamp for better facilities. Housekeeping only occurs weekly, but personally, it didn't bother me as I kept my room tidy. The room itself was like a "steel container, " causing extreme temperatures, but thankfully, they provided air conditioning and heaters to tackle the issue. If you're fortunate, you might get a newer room with more amenities like a queen-size bed, improved furniture, and a microwave. Overall, a decent experience with potential for improvements.
This is a camp. Bed are larger then ither camp. Do not expect 5* hotel. The service is great. They try. The food is very good and diverse. Large choices. I am a connoisseur in gastronomic restaurant.
Not a fan. Don't really enjoy the food, crib is limited although I think the chefs may have their hands tied in this instance. Gyms are old and limited. Rooms are clean although have heard other experiences. Most staff are friendly and helpful, although some of the kitchen/mess staff could do with a course in hospitality.
Staying here on a regular basis.rooms are always clean.staff are always courteous.tucker is great.yum curries
Probably the best food I've had at a camp and the dining and crib facilities are well run. Some things that need improvement are the amount of working washers and dryers available. The layout of the dongas is very confusing and needs more signage. My room had a lot of stuff left on the wardrobe and the bed was broken.
Staying here on a FIFO job rooms are great swimming pool great the food is brilliant. Buffet breakfast and Dinner
Flea ripple, not the worst camp out there, but lately it's overall quality has dropped, food gets worse every week, can't even bake a potato. Let alone work out how bacon and eggs should be served. Ants in every room I get, though the bedding, showers are always broken and flood the rooms, if your lucky enough to have running water, no reception on TVs, so bring your own media, wifi never works, no soap, lucky if you get to towels.
Good spot. Food average most nights.
As far as a mining camp goes not too bad but would be dissapointed if you wete traveling through as a holiday spot
Very friendly helpful reception staff! Rooms were nice and clean!
Food was amazing, cauliflower cheese was the best I’ve had in a while so good I had it twice! Compliments to the chefs!
Cakes and deserts were so good too not dry at all either!
Thankyou for a lovely stay!
Newly renovated mess, large beds and rooms, location right near the water and great selection at the bar. Hot food is great, crib food to be desired on low vacancy periods.
I initially gave this camp a decent review. But recently the quality of food have been sub par to say the least. Have been sick the following day a number of times due to eating dinner there. Sorry guys but you need to lift your game.
Nice food from mess. Great wet mess. Rooms clean
Pretty quiet unless your room is close to the car park. Only about 5 mins to drive to town
One of the best villages I have stayed at in my working career food was fantastic with lots of heathy options
Overall not bad. Rooms are neat and food is not bad for camp food. Tavern has beer on tap so another bonus
Bad Experience: I got what appears to be bed bugs. Have had them for over a week now after staying 3 nights and they still itch. Medication seems to be working.
Told them about the bites from staying on their bed and they were no committal or interested in the problem when I recommended to fumigate the room.
Meg & Trish in the front office, thank you for making my week so much better. My partners Nanna had passed away 2 days ago and I was stuck in Karratha for a few days and could not be home to support her. Your kindness and generosity brought some positive light to my stay without you both even knowing it. I will stay with you guys again on my next trip up also. Please keep up the great work as you never know how important the decisions you make effect someone like myself. Thanks girls it was special.
Was here for work and not much has changed over the years.
The rooms were clean and tidy and you have a bar fridge and TV with foxtel. The mattress was awful with the springs poking through and terribly hard.
The laundries are scattered everywhere but get in quick after work or you'll miss out on getting a washing machine.
Food wasn't too bad, some nights were better than others but generally pretty good.
