Dry, dusty & windy, but that is most places on the coast in Western Australia at this time of year October to December.
The camp has about 88 sites and was busy while we were there, Thursday to Sunday. Payment is either with the caretaker or via a secure book as you enter, but word of warning make sure you have a site before payment. Beach is the most magnificent white sand & there are great views of the bay.
Speed limit in the camp is 8km but most ignore that & you can drive on the beach, which is crazy as it’s about a 20 minute walk one end to the other & at some places 2 cars would struggle to pass.
It’s soft fine sand, so ideal for the Bogans unfortunately.
A lovely walk on the beach becomes a walk in & out of car tracks.
In the camp even though there are toilets, the bush poopers still exist & so does there left overs.
In short lovely place but it’s being used to death, some with little respect.
In short lovely place, but being loved to death

Pretty good just the toilets are abit smelly as expected with a long drop but wouldn't hurt to hit the bowl with a gurny. Rangers really nice if your lucky enough to get the beach spots we did its awesome. There's also feral cats and ticks about.

Very well organized and the perfect balance between bush and beach. Cash only or you can phone the council and speak to the very friendly receptionist and pay by card.

A beautiful spot to camp at whatever level you choose. There's a sheltered place out of the wind no matter where it blows from. The beach is calm and clean and the camp sites are large and well kept. There's shelter and toilets but otherwise you need to be self sufficient. You'll need 4wd to get to good fishing spots. It's a great place to base yourself while you explore the local region. Spring is best for wildflowers and late summer - autumn is best for the beach.

Fantastic location, brilliantly managed by the Shire appointed camp hosts.
Will be back soon.

Fantastic beach with beautiful white sand. A massive dune at the end that kept the kids entertained for hours. Seats on top of dunes to enjoy the sunsets. A boardwalk lookout on the top of one of the headlands. Heaps of spots with four (I think) lots of two or three drop toilets. Undercover tables and BBQs. Was staying three nights ended up staying 6. Great spot!
