Sanctuary Resort Residence - Oaks, Cable Beach reviews
30Cozy resort near Cable beach. They provide the comfortable resort hotel with a reasonable price. My favorite was their outside pool located in the center of the resort. The location is also convenient to go to the Cable beach.
Loved it.booked a 2 bedroom luxury room with Booking Dot Com Called "Luxury 2 Bedroom at Oaks". Try it out Pure Bliss
Unfortunately our stay was disappointing and I do not recommend. Rooms are run down, mouldy/dirty bathrooms. The biggest downfall was no pool bar/restaurant or anywhere to get food or drink during the day. A long walk or expensive taxi to the nearest general store. I would advise a car if staying here. They blame no staff but from reading previous reviews it seems the bar has been closed for a while now. Zero vibe around the pool which is such a shame as it’s a huge pool and has so much potential. Personally next time I would spend extra and stay at cable beach club which is closer to the beach and has more facilities.
Rooms are ok, more budget motel than resort. Pools/grounds are nice but pools locked up at 6pm? !? ! Food at the restaurant is truly awful and drinks eye wateringly expensive. This place is fine if you plan ahead and either prepare your own meals or go elsewhere to eat.
Great room and swimming pools. Good fans and aircon. Acceptable bathroom toilet. Nice balcony. In need of some repairs and maintenance. Bit far from the beach.
Back packers with a broome price. $380 a night, staff bordering in unhelpful, clearly a sign of poor management. No byo drink around pool, but no drinks to buy unless its happy hour. Just a weird, cut price no service vibe.
Sadly the restaurant was not open and due to the time of year (xmas) house keeping was also unavailable.
Room was good, a comfortable chair to sit 8n would have been nice.
The bed was comfortable and bathroom was good.
Conveniently placed near Cable Beach and surrounding restaurants/pubs/bus stop. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Main pool was sizeable and clean with surrounding pools for space and privacy. Rooms were nice but a tad dirty with a lot of creepy crawlies on the bed, floor etc and unswept tiles before check in.
Clean rooms which remind me of Thailand. Very close to the airport and the beach. The beach is a 10 minute walk. Close to the shops but a tad to far to walk if you are not into walking.
Not a resort!
Bar and restaurant needs to be open daily, all day and into the evening.
Construction work being carried out around pool during high season.
Mixed responses from reception staff when asked questions about late checkout.
Great pool but that’s about it. Customer service was lacking, linen was old stained, mismatched, room needed quite a bit of maintenance moldy silicone, broken tiles, peeling laminate on vanity, marks on walls, breakfast was very limited, food quality lacking, people are living here on a semi or permanent basis there was washing regularly hung on make shift washing lines next door. Broome accommodation is way overpriced, the oaks is not a 4 star hotel it’s a 3 star at most. We stayed in a studio apartment perhaps the 1&2 beds are better….
If you stay here you need to use the bus or rent a car to get to restaurants, shops or even Cable beach it definitely is not that that close to beach side.
Horrendous. Waited over an hour for food for half of it to be missing, then the missing stuff came out that overcooked and burnt it was inedible. When we went to the counter to ask where the other lot of food was we also asked for our deserts we orderd to now be takeaway. Another hour passed and still no sign of anything. We then had one takeaway icecream handed to us to be told there wasn't actually anything else coming as there was none avaliable and hadn't been all night. As asked why we wernt told when it was orderd and then again when we asked for it to be takeaway and was given no answer just excuses. No refund or compensations offerd. Absolutely terrible service. Will not be back, neither will the 10 people we were with.
Great location, walking distance from cable beach. Pools around resort were very nice. Plenty of lounges and umbrellas
For the money we paid for 7 night in a 2 bedroom apartment it was run down with stained and filthy mats on floor mouldy bathroom torn and stained towels and tea towels and curtains and stove top didnt work had to put beach towels on the lounge to sit on it
We only visited for the day but enjoyed it very much.a bit out of town so you fo need a car, but some lovely views, great coffee and good food
Very clean rooms, equipped kitchens, excellent air conditioning, plenty parking space. The breakfast is fair. Great stay in Broome. A tad expensive for what you get, but Broome is not a cheap holiday. Recommended.
Rooms have a washing machine and dryer. Enjoyed our stay. Bus stop out the front gets you into town or Cable Beach.
Big room, quite clean but smelt musty. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Staff friendly and mostly eager to please but obviously inexperienced (blame Covid, though other places I visited didn't seem to have the same problems. Lunch was the worst prawn salad ever, frozen imported prawns barely cooked, everything slathered with a chili dressing, dumped in front of me in a plastic Bento Box. Tonight's steak was rare as ordered but, in supposedly four star hotel, airline style salt and pepper isn't on. Disappointed.
I was looking forward for 3 nights stay in Studio room at Oaks Cable Beach Resort. Had a late check in around 6pm after a sleep deprived journey and was looking forward for a good comfortable rest.
To my dissapointment the condition of my room was more like a standard motel nested in a lovely resort setting. As the attached photos explained how poor maintenance of guestroom affects my decision to not stay further at the resort. Unpatched discoloured mirror in the bathroom, Mineral stains all along bathroom windows, stains on carpet and in minifridge, most shocking disgusting green stains found in kettle and what can be the worst than having to sleep on a squeaking bed.
My experience for the night was far from a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The resort provides great facilities along with several pools around however as a guest to have a comfortable good rest is a priority before I can step out to enjoy the amenities. From my personal experience I would say Oaks Cable Beach Resort has a great location unfortunately its overated and not value for money. Truly dissapointed
I've stayed here twice and would recommend. The staff are very accommodating, the apartments are modern and functional, and the pool area is great. I also appreciated being able to park right outside the apartment.
