Samrat Indian Restaurant

We have been looking for a new Indian restaurant since our beloved local, the Cove, closed in 2023. The search is over. This place has fabulous food at very reasonable prices. We look forward to many more meals from here. So far, we have only tried takeaway. The food is fresh and delicious.

Our go to for Indian take away, the tikka masala, palak paneer and vindaloo are always 10/10. Highly recommended!

I just tried them for the first time tonight; takeaway. I ordered the Couples Pack, which is good value and allows an entirely free choice of vegetarian curry from their menu (the included meat curry is a choice between Butter Chicken and Lamb Rogan Josh). I got worried when the restaurant itself was empty when I went to pickup, but all the food was fresh and very tasty. I legit had a grin on my face while finishing my meal! The mulai kofta, that I chose for my vegetarian curry, was the highlight for me and I'm no vego.

With food like this they should be a lot busier.

Oh, and usually with Indian food you need to wait an age and a half for them to cook it - but this was ready in 20 minutes. Respec.

We have been ordering takeaway from Samrat for about a year now and I can’t recommend the food highly enough. It is always excellent - really good Indian. It’s our go to every time.

I have been a loyal customer at Samrat for the past five years since I relocated back to Perth. I have eaten at different Indian restaurants around the city and I have to say the quality of the food here has been top notch every single time. Prices are friendly and the staff are amazing. Would highly recommend anyone to give this place a try.

We heard from the review that the new Samrat wasn't as good, but they are wrong. As a long term customer, the reinvented Samrat is at least as good, if not better. The female owner is very friendly. Staff are very friendly too. We shall be back!

Lovely meal, I've never really been into Indian food, but the butter chicken and garlic naan are delicious and those two have changed my mind, lovely staff as well.

Tried for the first time had the butter chicken and lamb rogan josh man the food was absolutely tasteless and the sauce was like soup. Naan bread was also tasteless. Dont recommend one bit.

Doc Lopez was a treat to watch juggling.

Also he has many bags, some European, maybe some carry all's.

Ordered food through Uber.waited an age to be told it’s just getting picked up then they cancelled the order and blamed it on the Uber driver for stealing the food!
When I called they did not care at all were not acting like what they had stated had really happened.
Unprofessional and dodgy, I’m gonna wait another hour and order from someone else.

Sorry the photos are of half eaten food I was too keen to get into it! I got the lamb rogan josh and the cheese naan through menulog and I am so full and happy, the container came full to the brim with curry, the sauce has a lovely flavour with thicker consistency, good meat to sauce ratio too (I'm always sad about how some restaurants don't put enough meat so this is fantastic for me) came so hot too even though it was delivered.they must have started working on the order as soon as they received it because I got the food only about 20min after I sent the order, so quick! The naan was really soft and the cheese added good flavour.good value too! So so happy about this fuss free wholesome home dinner from a local restaurant, thank you samrat!

What a lovely night, we had 20 people for dinner in our group. Samrat wait staff we fantastic, feeding so many was very organised. We had a lovely time as everyone enjoyed the tasty aromatic fresh food. Thank you so very much for making our night out so pleasurable. We will be back. Kind regards and thanks again. Wendy

Bought farata in the restaurant, it was completely burnt and made me wait for more than 10 minutes

Food arrived promptly but we found some dishes extremely sweet (not what you expect in an Indian curry). When providing feedback to the restaurant we were told quite rudely by the waitress that if we order something ‘mild’ that ‘in Australia’ this means sweet? ! If the food hadn’t left a bad taste…. The service definitely did. First and last time customer.

Paid price of full container and received only half container. Manager should check quantity. Very disappointed.

Unfortunately food was incredibly bland. Every item we ordered including the naan had 0 flavour! Super disappointing

Ordered the goat curry and found it very tasty. Great fresh Indian salad to go with it and a very happy camper

Absolutely 100% would recommend to everyone. I put in a special request for the Biryani that I wasn't sure they would be able to do, but figured it was worth asking to satisfy my pallet and what do you know, they delivered. Hands down. Best chicken biryani I have had in a very long time thank you Samrat Indian! 5 stars *****?

I love this restaurant. My partner and family are so picky with food, however they adore and love this restaurant. This place is amazing. Without a doubt I keep it as one of my favourites. I order from here all the time and I have never been disappointed. 100% recommend.

Staff are so friendly and I can honestly say that this is the best indian food I've had for years and the meal was so big I had to take the left overs with me (it tasted way to good to throw out) Well done to all the staff for a great meal.
