Samari Cambodian Restaurant reviews
28Delicious food, but a bit disappointed by the service and atmosphere. The waiter clearly didn’t want to be there and wasn’t very friendly. There wasn’t any atmosphere. Think the place needs a bit of love, or maybe even music could be a good place to start.
Enjoyed our takeaway meals. Front counter person no soo good. It was a great inconvenience to him to serve me.
Had a group of eight for dinner. Not one complaint about the food. We shared dishes that we chose from the menu.
Been there a couple of time and each time the quality has degraded.don't think I will be going back.
Such a lovely restaurant. I went there on a Friday night and I luckily got the last table. Despite being so busy, the service was great and the food was lovely too.
The place is quite hidden, not many parking available in front of the joint but there is a paid parking across the road. When we went there, there is quite strong unpleasant smell outside. We didn't book in advance but there was a table available for us. The food was tasty, fish curry was nice but I would give the noodle soup a miss. Their beef was tough maybe because the type of cut they used. Price wise is so so.
We frequently have dinner at this restaurant
Have never been disappointed
Great food & service, lovely staff
Arrived 8: 30 today just to be told the kitchen already closed, but they still had all the signs on outside suggesting they were open
I can't even count the amount of times I've driven through Scarborough and wondered about the little Cambodian joint tucked in just south of Luna, and I must say I'm very glad to have finally indulged my curiosity. The food was delicious and well-portioned to share with good vegetarian options, the service was attentive and friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant was both homely and spellbinding, with ample seating and a surprisingly roomy interior considering the tucked-away appearance from the facade. Be sure to check out this hidden gem in Scarborough - the satay is a religious experience!
What a hidden gem hidden in Scarborough! Lovely service, beautiful decor, great value and such fresh food. We enjoyed prawn rice paper rolls, papaya salad, the most incredibly tender calamari and fish with green mango. Highly recommended. Thank you Maria and your team!
Doesn’t look like much from the outside, but thanks to reviews we gave it a go and it didn’t disappoint.honestly one of the best meals we’ve had. Beef satay, fish curry and pancakes were amazing.with a short stay in scarborough we’ll definitely eat here again.amazing food
The GF Bahn Chow pancake was the best takeaway meal I’ve ever had! Tasty, fresh delicious and heaps of salad. Awesome!
The food was delicious and plentiful. Could have been warmer. The service by the young man was woeful. Lacked care and interest. Forgot the rice. That said it looked like their was some sort of inspection (food? Kitchen?) happening. Still.
Probably one of the most consistently tastiest of places I've ever eatin from! My God, they can certainly cook.food is divine!
Our large group of adults and children ordered a varied selection of dishes to take away.
There wasn't one dish that was not greatly enjoyed by both and were flavourful and satisfying.
Stand out amogst them was the Khmer Amok and Duck Red Curry so far.
Am looking forward to working our way through the rest of the menu
Am so happy to have found this unassuming gem.
Food is absolutely delicious! And good service. Simple style restaurant! Will be back for sure.
Love this little gem! We usually get takeout and order a vegetarian version of the Amok curry. It’s delicious and authentic every time. The service has always been great. I would highly recommend Samari.
The food was absolutely delicious, very fresh flavours and very authentic. Having travelled to Cambodia many times we were thrilled to be reminded of the delicious flavours. There were quite a few people there for a Tuesday night but it was noisy.
I don’t know.the food wasn’t bad but check the price, what do you think. I think it’s a little bit on the pricier side
