Salvos Stores Willetton reviews
29Absolutely unwelcoming to donators. The sign says don’t leave you donations behind the doors after hours as this will be treated as dumping and you can get fined. That is enough to forget donating in there. Clothing donations will also be returned if not in bags or small boxes. I had a large box of fine clothes that would make many happy wearing them but returned home and straight into the bin. They could get the big box and sort it.
I bought a jacket yesterday evening, took it home to try on and it was too small so I went to take it back this morning. I was told because I didn’t have a receipt there is nothing they could do. I showed my bank app, with the purchase price and purchase time. This was not accepted and my refund was refused. I wasn’t given a receipt yesterday so there wasn’t anything else I could do.
It was my mistake for not trying it on in the store but on the other hand I returned it in the same condition (tag left on) and in less than 24 hours. I do not understand why it could not be refunded.
Very friendly and helpful staff. There's a huge selection of clothing, accessories, kitchenware, bedding and ornaments. Worth having a look
Really expensive. A pair of pants $15 and a jacket is #35/45. It's not a second hand boutique it's an op/salvo shop. Come on management
Deplorable store. Lost the sense of charity and only interested in maximum profits. It’s ment to be charity giving and also selling to the public. Unfortunately Salvos like Vinnies stores have turned corporate to make maximum profits.
This place is awesome.love it.great range of designer brands at cheap prices.helpful staff.can get furniture and electrical aswell.shop there you wont be disappointed.grab a bargain.
This store has a great range of quality goods -always seem to find what I am looking for. Great window displays and the shop is changed around regularly to improve the 'vibe'. Staff are friendly and helpful and always remind you about your loyalty card. They frequently have many 'Specials' unique just to their store as well as the usual 50% off on the selected 'colour ticket of the week'. Pensioners are also looked after with extra discount on one day of the week (Tuesday I think? -Just ask). Love visiting this store.
Been to a lot of thrift shops around Perth and the greater metro area. This store would have to be the most expensive hands down. Toys were dirty and expensive. Books reasonable but Over The Top on everything else.
The person serving is commented the store is quiet in sales but wouldn’t offer discount. Claiming prices set from “above” - I know that is bull. Drop prices and watch your sales increase.
Salvo Stores management need to take a look at the practices here, giving the brand a bad name
Huge shop, convenient location.furniture, appliance, plenty of books, cheap toy, homeward and clothing.some products were new, such as sanitizer, socks, perfume and detergent.there close to bus station and shopping centre. When you finished shopping who could have a meal in the shopping centre. Also convenient to supermarket. There are about 4-5 opp shop in the same street.
Wouldn't go there again, due to the very poor customer service. Felt as though i was being watched the whole time. It made me feel very uncomfortable the entire time i was in the shop. Then to top it off two employees asked to do a bag search as i left.
DO NOT ever go here.they accused me of stealing a purse i purchased from another store and they watched me the whole time i was browing and made me feel so unfomfortable. Rude staff too! Ridiculous prices, they charge $10 for a kmart top Lmao
Fantastic, clean well stocked store with great prices but best of all is the unreal service I recieved. Cant wait to return
I donated items that were in some cases new. Easy drop off and discuss one item with a staff member. All good.
If your looking for a bargain then keep driving. Keep going further up the road to Paraguad & Good Sammys where you may actually get a bargain. This store used to be chockablock full of bargains. No wonder the shop isn’t so busy anymore! Shocking prices.
Not for profit? Yeah sure, the store manager gets a bonus for sales targets so she isn’t interested in making prices affordable. Greedy is the word I’m looking for!
Not sure what is going on at Salvos but this one is off my list now too
A bit overboard with the prices some of the Miller dresses with more expensive second hand than what they were new?
No room to manoeuvre a pram so I suggest leaving kids at home for this shop. Toys bit overpriced but ok on clothes and belts.
I'm absolutely disgusted with this store's behavior at the moment. I used to volunteer here but got fired which the manager didn't even properly explain why and said that my friend and I were given so many warnings about a particular incident when we were given over warning and that was to not come in when we were not volunteering. When we called them up and questioned why I got fired I was told that they're the salvation army and that they don't fire people and that volunteers just leave on their one free will which may I just mention that I did not leave I love volunteering here.personally it seems to me that at this store your not allowed to have any fun.
A very very expensive op shop. I went into there and they are charging higher prices than you find in a place like Cash Converters. I have attached a couple of photos to give you some idea of how insanely overpriced this "charity" is. In the photo it shows a used, not very expensive wheelchair and they are asking for $2000.00 - believe it or not. What a dispicable thing to do: try and rip of disabled people or their families. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE. There is something very dodgey going on at that Salvos. I have dealt with a lot of wheelchairs and that chair is not worth anything like that price. But it was not only the chair - they were asking ridiculous for virtually anything.
I'm all for supporting the salvation stores and they do a great job but they really need to check some of their pricings and remember that this stuff is donated for free Some things are way overpriced, even more expensive than buying it brand new from the shop which is a joke and really unacceptable as the majority of the customers don't have much money to spend
This is place is incredible! The people here are awesome words do not describe how amazing everyone is (especially sajneevy chops)
