Salvos Stores Southern River

Unfortunately for the Salvation Army I will no longer donate my goods to the shop at Southern River. I will continue to donate at a beautiful shop at Cottesloe. There my goods are always appreciated. And I am respected and thanked. The staff at Cottesloe are also volunteers so it is not an excuse for this shop. Sorry Salvation Army.

Prices are very high for kids clothing, the girls dresses were between $10-$15, cheaper to go through marketplace. Some other items are reasonably priced but kids clothes and toys were not.

Good place with good stuffs.but the customer service is not good.esp towards little boys and their rude looks.

Love shopping in the Salvo store.
Lots of beautiful clothes, shoes and house ware. Cheap and with a Salvo card even cheaper. Try it out. 5 Stars.

The staff really ruin it for this place. They speak to customers so rudely and condescending. They've done it to myself on several occasions and I've seen them do it to others customers. My 4 yr old daughter wanted to get a toy and the woman working came and took it out of her hand. Another time I had my 6 year old and the same woman tried to accuse him of stealing something when he'd put it back and had to go show her he'd put it on the shelf. Extremely Disrespectful staff. Stick to take two and good Sammy's next door, much better customer service!

Nice Clean shop, some items are priced high, but not bad to shop at I like the service from the ladies

Quite neat and tidy today. Much better now that the bric a brac is displayed in categorised sections.

Big store with lots of potential but the customer service needs to improve and welcome people warmly.
I was spoken to in a condescending manner when addressing the retail staff member about something in store- i didnt catch her name but she has cropped mousy brown hair, average height and is pregnant

Decent clothing, however, the customer service here is appalling. I don't usually write these reviews, but I am honestly so baffled by this experience with whom I believe is the store owner. Judging from a previous comment, it may be the same person. My mum asked a simple question and the lady at the counter responded to her in the most condescending and rude manner. Every time we go to this store, we are treated differently from the other customers (keep in mind we have been going to this store for years). From my observation, she welcomes and talks to the other customers very sweetly, but turns to a negative attitude when she serves my Mum and I. I don't understand why we are treated this way when I cannot recall a time that we have offended her in the past. This is a reoccurring experience, but today was the last straw. I had expected to experience more kindness from a Christian charity.

Store was pretty neat and had a bit of a tidy and change around since I was last there. I took some donations in and they went to the shop floor pretty quickly. Good place to pick up cheap books as they are all the same price.

A well set out store with friendly staff and shaded parking just outside the door. Good prices tops $4.00 and dresses $7.00. Often get some good brands at reasonable prices.
