Salvos Stores

One of my favourite op shops. They have heaps of really good condition clothes and shoes. Value for money. I probably come here at least once a month if not more so I highly recommend this specific store.

Staff were friendly. Some of the household items were rather expensive. I saw an identical cutlery drainer to one I bought that was priced a dollar more than I paid new. Clothes were easy to browse through, as not crammed together in limited spaces like in some Op shops. Pleasant atmosphere.

Bargain and saving. Be patient, and you may get a good deal. Good things do not have to be new.

Having visited several salvos stores which I have had pleasant experiences this has got to be the worst customer service salvos store I have been to. I have experienced this on several of my visits here but my visit on Monday was by far the worst.
I have entered the store and a young lady was serving a customer and then there was 1 male sitting on a stool behind the counter, and 3 males on the customer side of the counter all deep in conversation. They all looked at me then continued on. I was in the store looking for the Monday $2 tag specials. I could not see any distinctive rack like I had in the maylands salvos I’d just left (great customer service) so I looked around. There was another 3 workers having a different conversation where the kids section is located again 1 sitting on a stool and 2 others standing around.
I also noted at least 2 others just walking around the shop floor doing nothing at all.
At no time was I greeted or acknowledged.
As I could not find what I was looking for and did not feel like any one there was approachable I left. But as I was walking back past the counter to place my empty basket back I was again just stared out by all at the counter including the female who had now joined the conversation before they went back to ignoring customers.
I love shopping at salvos stores but will never visit this store again!

One Salvos store is pretty much like another - a bit like Coles and Woolworths. The saving grace for Belmont store is its location - next to Sammy's and Anglicare, and only a few doors down from Vinnie's. I browsed for an hour and came away empty handed. Same old, same old (forgive the pun).

Got a great bargain on a leather jacket. Also helps support the charity, they do a tremendous job.

We usually avoid the salvos stores as they are much more expensive than other second hand / op shops. We only called into this salvos store because there are a few different op shops next to each other.
