Salon Express Subiaco

Hit or miss, depending on which stylist you get. The first time, it was a nice experience - my stylist was kind and friendly and gave me exactly what I was hoping for. However, the second time my stylist was impatient and slightly passive-aggressive, and seemed to rush my haircut. I didn't end up getting what I wanted.

Tristan did an amazing job with my hair, it looks amazing, I feel like a new woman and my depression is cured. I've also learnt about pre-mature graying and iron levels - Very interesting! Thank you so much to the wonderful team here, would highly recommend this wonderful hair salon.

I’ve started getting my hair cut here and honestly I’m pretty impressed! Love this place for the convenience and speed! F you want a recommendation on who to see, I recommend Amy, she’s really good at grasping exactly what you want and executing it flawlessly. Highly recommend!

Badly needed a haircut and had a meet-up at 5. Another local place said they were too busy despite being empty.

Salon Express to the rescue. Janine volunteered to remove my curls and cut them to an even 4. Deeply experienced from NZ to Perth. She Managed the rug rethink with aplomb and wit.

Great price $22. Really friendly professional staff even at the end of a busy day.

The receipt on handler is a beautiful soul and very wise with people. Maori folk are like that. Specially Auklanders.

I used to be a regular with the previous owner Matt. Now I am back as a fan and will go for the monthly do over. Less than a dollar a day for the salt and pepper topping. Yay!

An elegant, clean and spacious saloon. My hair was in desperate need of a colour and cut, albeit a busy Saturday, staff were friendly and worked together to provide a great experience and meet my needs. They were friendly, welcoming and considerate. My hair looked a million dollars on leaving and the stylist went out of her way to listen and give advice.
Thanks Aleks and the team. Highly recommend this saloon for all your hairdressing needs and a bit of added pampering.

I had a great experience at Salon Express. Tristan achieved exactly what I wanted and I’m so happy with the result. Lovely customer service and great attention to my specific hair needs. This is not a post about the quality of this salon. I’m giving them a 1 star review because despite asking many times for their smoking staff members to stop lighting up next to our apartment on rokeby walk (even going in to the store and speaking with the manager about it) they continue to do it. Smoke wafts up into the units and their butts litter the garden bed. Enough is enough.

I received amazing service at Subiaco store from Alex who fitted me in very quick timing

Emma did a wonderful job with my hair and took great care of me as well as taking time to make sure it was done correct and not rushing it. I’m really happy with how it turned out and very thankful.

Alex was so welcoming and kind in working out a price and explaining the process with me and I’m incredibly thankful for that!

Trinity was wonderful with her customer service and since the phone call where I called up she was continuously bright smiled and checking in on me, absolutely superb job and makes you feel cared for.

A wonderful experience and I’ll 100% be back again so thank you Salon Express Subiaco, you’ve made my incredibly stressful week a lot lighter for a few hours ️

Best hair cut I’ve had for years - literally!
Forget barbers who just crack out clippers; go to a hairdresser.

I have crazy Polynesian hair. I had a keratin treatment done only 3mths earlier at another salon because it was cheaper, instantly regretted it, went back to salon express subi and was soooo much better! The receptionist was so bright and bubbly, my stylist was professional and the owner even checked in a couple times giving her stylist a few compliments on her work. I have been here before for a full colour and had a lovely experience then as well, I'll probably just stick with coming back here every time now, I need to learn everyone s names! Live over in Morley.

I just ordered a cut, but they gave me a technical cut and charged me $47. Also, the clerk who cut my hair was a rookie, so the razor scratched my neck and the scars still remain. So hurts! LOW TECHNIQUE shop

Quite happy with my haircut, but the pricing really needs to be clearer. I've paid around $40 every other time for my cut, while this time I was charged more than double. I was told it was because my hair couldn't be cut curly and they had to blow dry it. I would've appreciated knowing the price difference BEFORE the service to make an informed decision.

I have used Salon express in Subiaco before and the service was great and I loved my cut. I walked in at 4.30pm on a Thursday, they said they close 6.30pm. I asked if they could fit me in today for a cut and the front desk girl said they can do 5.30pm. So I said OK and she took down all my details. I waited nearby for my appointment and at 5.15pm she called me and said they can no longer fit me in, no reason at all given. She said I can come in tomorrow but I am going away the next day. I felt really bad after this experience, I’ve never ever left a review before. This place is a walk-in and they said they can fit me in…please do not treat your customers like this and waste their time.
