A great little single stream primary school in the city with a very proactive parent teacher community. No school is trouble-free, but one thing I would say is any issues I’ve had have been dealt with promptly and adequately and to the best of their ability. It’s a pretty big decision choosing the right school for children, and for some one size doesn’t fit all, however I feel we picked a good one here for us and I’m happy with my children’s progress on an educational level and social level.

To all of those who think I’m just angry, here’s why! Class of 2021 wasn’t great, the boys were told things such as “you’ll only amount to grow up to be garbage truck drivers” which is NOT what students should be told by their teachers especially when you are not a straight A student. I was also frequently belittled being called a “midget” by a teacher which did not help my self esteem because I was self conscious about my height and it also gave me anxiety about entering high school as a person of smaller stature. Very unsupportive and unprofessional behaviour by certain teachers. Personally I feel that if you are a boy you are pushed to the side and the main focus for education is put on the girls. That is my view and I’m entitled to it. I hope everyone else’s experience works out better then mine.

One of the best catholic primary schools. Friendly and welcoming teachers and staff. Always supportive. Lovely families to associate with. My daughter currently attends St Augustines and son will in few years.

This school is literal hell. For the year that I was here, I was bullied, gaslighted and manipulated. The boys were favourites (in my grade at least.) and they'd constantly call us very offensive terms. Their behaviour was extremely disgusting, and they would constantly do and say very inappropriate things. Most of the girls in my grade would bully me and were extremely passive-aggressive towards me and other people. The way the school handles bullying is atrocious. They act like this is a great school but it is the complete opposite. Going to this school is the biggest regret of my life. One time the teacher screamed at us for not asking for help, which sounded very tone-deaf as it is hard for me at least to ask people for things. If you told the teacher about something someone did, you were called a snitch. This isn't a friendly school, this school caused me more pain, trauma and anxiety than I already had. I felt extremely unsafe to the point where I left for the last few weeks.

Fantastic school and community. I can't think of another place I'd prefer my children to be educated at.

St Augustine’s is a single stream school, which boasts an amazing community spirit. The staff and teachers are very welcoming and kind. I was very disappointed to read some previous reviews of the school. That are very negative and I feel untrue. If you are looking for an amazing primary school experience, please contact the school for a tour. They are more than happy to take the time to provide this for you. Please don’t depend on what you read here in reviews. It’s your child’s future - contact the school yourself. Get amongst the school community, on election days the schools provides a cake stall and a sausage sizzle. They hold many events throughout the year. Things like this will give you a better feel for the school community.

We’ve been really happy with our past 6 yrs of experience at St Augustine’s. The school has a lovely community spirit. The small school means the teachers know the all students and families look out for one another. They have been more than welcoming even though our family is not religious.

This is a beautiful little single stream school within an amazing community supporting it. As new residents of Perth, the adminstration, teachers and parents have been so welcoming and friendly, we would not want to be anywhere else.

It is a shame that there are people out there that want to leave such fake negative reviews just for kicks, but this is the World we live in.

Our 3 little girls are attending St As with our eldest just graduating year 6. It’s a lovely school with a great school community vibe - school friends we will have for a lifetime and the hardest working P&F who focus on creating a wonderful community. Great academic results with St As improving at a faster rate than other school in the recent NAPLAN results, amongst other achievements. Recently extended the outdoor area for extra playroom for the kids.

I’ve found St Augustine’s to be a fantastic school, having sent my children here for over five years now. No overcrowding of classroom’s, fabulous community and teachers who care.

All three of our children have had a really positive learning experience at St. Augustine’s. The school community at this school is amazing and very inclusive! As a parent and an educator who works at various schools, I think this is a great little school!

Unsupportive teachers who don’t consider and care for students who are different. Students who are autistic, come from different religion will not be supported but bullied. Don’t put your child through trauma, find a school that cares. Also Mrs Anderson if you ever get this message I hope you’re proud to know you are the reason my mental health got worse, i had a lot of stuff going on at home you were happy enough to put me down just because I was Muslim. Shame on you! I was a kid! Teachers like you should be fired.

My child attended this school. Very small school and lacked teachers. The school is not very academic focussed. In prep they were taught Chinese and Italian and focussed less on western Australian curriculum. Moved to Notre Dame primary cloverdale and we could see amazing results and growth in my child.
