Rang today and spoke to Doug.
I wanted some advice pre-purchase on a Subaru Impreza.
I buy and sell motor vehicles but Subaru's are new to me.
I wanted a price if I had to rebuild the 2.5lt boxer engine which Doug gave to me. As I am about to inspect the vehicle, Doug gave me some tips on what to look for given the vehicle has a ticking sound coming from the engine bay. Thanks very much Doug it's professional people like that are the reason I always seek advice and use a professional mechanic.

I’ve have had my Subaru at other mechanics and shops and have always had issues and dramas with work,
but Stechnic is not one of those,
Doug and Damien and the friendly staff are very knowledgeable and as friendly as they come, I am beyond stoked with the work they have done and the way they have done it,

Incredible service in and out of the workshop. Amazing team and quality of work. Don't take your Subaru anywhere else, can't believe I hadn't come here sooner. Had a dodgy quote for some work from another mechanic and a friend recommended I bring my Impreza to S Technic, previous quote was way off as I suspected, the guys at S Technic found the real cause of the problem and saved me so much money, time and worry. Cannot recommend the team at STechnic highly enough, customer service, quality of service, pricing and knowledge of staff members is beyond excellent. First mechanic in which I feel safe leaving my car with and have now recommended to all my friends and family who own a subie - If you own a subie you'd be silly to not take it here.

I bought my 2004 subaru forester here originally to inspect an oil leak. I was also having issues wearing through my drivers side cv boots faster than normal. The team here were able to explain why this was occurring and rectified the issue. Their experience and service is the best I have come across. They also let me know about a couple minor other issues that previous mechanics haven't picked up. Would highly recommend bringing your subaru or other cars here. They have a very knowledgeable team on site.

Quality customer service from my initial enquiry with the team. Had to wait 4 weeks to get in as they are flat out busy. The clutch on my 09 WRX was cactus and they installed a new one on time and fairly priced. Showed me the old clutch when I went to pick up the car and explained everything to me about any issues with the car. Highly recommended. If you are driving a Subaru, this is the place to take it for services and any repair work

These guys are the best. No job too big or too small, conducted with absolute professionalism. Indivudalised service, excellent standards and reasonably priced.

Subaru dealer, foulty P2764 quoted 4 hr diagnosis at $170 more likely must replace valve body (was told the valve body can't be repared as it is a sealed unit) quoted $ 4330 plus 6 hr labour at $ 170 a total of$ 6030 not quoted a new oil cooler and flashing the radiator. Not been totally ignorant in some mechanical aspects the advise from the dealer was somehow very dubious and decided to tray my luck with other venue.
Yes. S Technik advise was replacing the valve body is not necessary as the P2764 in most case is a faulty lock up duty solenoid in the valve body, more likely this happend as the was a leaking oil cooler. Yes it made some sense and the bad news the company has booking 2 moths I advance, need the car and with some shaking of chiken bones (Voodoo) dropped the car on Monday no promises of repair date nevertheless the car was ready 3 days after new oil cooler repared valve body and transmition oil, flash radiator and new radiator cup. Total cost $ 2150. Thanks and nothing more refreshing than dealing with honest gentlemen's.

I called up STechnic to get my wheel bearing replaced on my 2008 Impreza Hatch

I was quoted a fair price based on the job and stuck to it.

When my appointment came, I dropped the car in they had the job done and car ready in a few hours, despite having quite the que of jobs before and after mine.

They know what they're doing and are incredibly professional and accommodating. I will definitely be returning.

Subaru Forester 2010. I had knocking/tapping noise in the engine. Took it to Doug and he KNEW that it was a valve spring issue. Booked it in (long wait, understandable) and the team did an excellent job putting the spring the right way and solved the tapping noise and the Check Engine Light, Traction Control Light and Cruise Control Light flashing that came with it.
