Rusty Old Boat Fish & Chips

Really excellent fish and chips away from the coast. Everything was just so good, the batter, the quality of seafood, best squid rings and pineapple fritters, even the fresh salad stood out. Cool old school music and decor tops it off. Worth a visit.

Walk in on a Friday night. Great service from very friendly and personable owners. Lovely selection of seafood available and perfect portions. Sat in a booth which was comfy and spacious.

Super friendly owners and son running the restaurant. Service was great, food was even better. Our family really enjoyed the whole experience.
The quality of the fish and chips are the best I've experienced anywhere in Perth.
Pricing is very reasonable for this quality of food and service.
I highly recommend this restaurant.
Give it a try, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Good place for date night but also somewhere you can bring the family. We (2 people) had the deckhands pack, battered squid, mackerel with chips, and mushy peas. I wouldn't come here just for fish and chips but what we got was delicious!

Unfortunately, it was a bit noisy when we went (kids being kids), but the food more than made up for it.

We had a impromptu delicious meal here on Friday night after our daughters drama class - the grilled squid, battered snapper and grilled barramundi were fabulous. Couldn't resist a serve of mushy peas to go with, and the side salad was lovely too.
Everything was fresh and tasty - I expect this place will be hard to get in to once everyone catches on to the great food and service (thanks Vanessa) at TROBF&C. We'll definitely be dropping in more often.

My first time went with my family, friendly staff, tasty fish, a disappointment they mixed the old chips to the new chips for all of us. Hopefully they don’t do that anymore. But we will come back one more time

Went there last night for the first time with friends and it was great. The food was superb staff very friendly always smiling and happy to see you. Ambience was good. Definitely going back there again.

Nice fish, great batter, cooked well. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Perfect for mid-week low key date night.

Great fish and chips, although not cheap. A little disappointed with the service. I spent over $200 for fish and chips for two adults and two kids (including drinks). I was left waiting for over 15 minutes for my drinks to arrive while other tables that just turned up were happily getting their drinks. Didn't make me feel that I was important to them. After 10 minutes, I went up to the counter and asked when we would be getting our drinks. The person at the register told me he was busy attending to others. So he was happy to take my money, and other customers money, but not provide the service he was paid for.

Absolutely fantastic dinner experience. Fish was delicious and staff were friendly. Very light batter makes such a difference.

Delicious! Super fresh! All of the food was cooked to perfection and the scallops were just to die for - lovely service for the cherry on top. We should come here more often!

Had the takeaway Mackerel, chips and squid rings. Fish was great, not over saturated in batter, tasted quite fresh and we were given a huge serving. Chips were good, nice thick cut and cooked well. Squid rings were a bit soggy but still tasted fresh. The order was ready in 10 minutes and cheap as for two serves. Was just a bit bummered there was no Gold Band Snapper, and there didn’t seem to be a huge variety for the take away. I’ll definitely be back, and I’d be keen to come and try the dine in.

Absolutely delicious! The best squid rings I’ve ever eaten. The Spanish Mac and chips was light and perfectly cooked. And the bathrooms are gorgeous. Can’t fault this place!

My son, granddaughter and I popped in Saturday 6th August for a lunch of Fish'n'Chips. WOW! What a gem of a place this is. We both had the Spanish Mackerel & Chips with Aioli. We each were presented with two above average size pieces of delicious Mackerel and just the right amount of chips (Many places go overboard on the chips and underboard on the fish). A couple came in just after we were given our meals and I pointed to my meal and said to the lady "This is the Spanish Mackerel serving and it's delicious" I guess that was a bit cheeky of me but I thought it worth sharing to another new customer to help her make a decision. Anyway, this will be my 'Go To' place for a take-away now! Delicious, a decent serve size and a reasonable price!

Consistently delicious fish and chips. Really love the relaxing and somewhat quirky vibe of this great little place in Guildford. Staff are brilliant too. Highly recommend.

We have eaten here several times and the food is excellent.
I recommend the cobbler and chips.
