RT's Restaurant and Cafe reviews
23Just sensational and amazing in every aspect. The owners clearly take monumental pride in their family restaurant and the hard work is evident in the warm, welcoming atmosphere. A must-visit for those passing through the beautiful town or locals unaware of this hidden gem.
The restaurant is very retro, and the appetizers are also very delicious. The filet for the main course is overcooked, which is a pity that a good piece of meat is lost. Kangaroo tail is delicious
So good! I just can't believe only one table on Thursday night, such a waste this amazing restaurant. Come to try, the best OZ bush tucker food I ever had in last 20 years.
Felt like the kids pizza, the chowder and salad was one of the tastiest item. The emu fillet mignon coming in second. I had high expectations for the mushroom risotto and the RT tasting platter but it didn’t quite meet my expectations. The creamy shrimp and rice is more on the creamy and bland side. Lots of flavors and room for improvement!
I thoroughly enjoyed both dinners I’ve had there. Delicious native bush dishes to try. The staff are caring and good at their jobs and I love the eclectic/vintage interior!
Plus dessert options are always delish!
*Also happy for me to breastfeed upstairs on the couch! Plus for mummas
Amazing ambience as soon as u walk in. Service, fantastic. Menu different from anywhere else in Geraldton. Great flavours and quality dishes and extremely reasonable prices. Will Definitely be my place to go to from now on. Thanks for an amazing dining experience.
The service was amazing the beautiful lady that served us was amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone…
We visited twice on our trip to WA, first for dinner, second for breakfast, came back after I really enjoyed the coffee I had with my original dinner. They used Proud Mary Specialty Coffee much to my surprise, For dinner, the Australian tasting plate was excellent, definitely only an entree size though, the crocodile tail fillet didn't come out as a full fillet surprisingly but the flavours were excellent.
Took a star off as the steak we had at dinner was very grisly and for breakfast the coffee was great again but the food was was disappointing. The manager said they had a new cook on, so I hope next time I visit it will be a 5 star experience:)
Visiting Geraldton for work. Enjoyed a lovely breakfast in interesting, pleasant and relaxing surrounds. A hidden gem!
Amazing food and amazing service! Waiters were lovely and accomodating, the food was excellent
The best restaurant in the Midwest! Welcoming, warm fine dining with outstanding flavours and visual presentation. I can’t see any reason for anything less than 5 amazing stars for this place!
Wow! Just wow! Food was amazing, the atmosphere was so lovely and relaxing and the service was second to none! I can't believe we have a restaurant of this calibre in Geraldton! 100% going back!
Really delicious and something different. Service was a little slow at times, but not terribly so. Food great and the desert lime drink was awesome.
We will be back for sure
The best restaurant I ever have in
Australia. So wild and good combination
with Aboriginal culture. Good taste!
Like a city hideaway in rural Geraldton. A great place to taste some new style food and flavours in a beautifully decorated space. Also has a wonderful upstairs art gallery to ponder a moment, with local artists work for sale. Staff very accommodating, a great experience. We were there with a creative writing group and it certainly inspired us.
The oysters were the best ever.
Was nice to try some native ingredients, definitely recommend as not only was the food good, the service was great and it was a nice experience altogether.
Great food, service was excellent, lovely building and restaurant
For such an extensive menu, they had some good options for kids too
Thanks all, will be back
Ate here Easter Saturday for dinner. Husband had emu Mignon, which he was very happy with and it was beautifully presented. I had the tasting plate and found it underwhelming. First we were offered and accepted a bread roll which was really dense in texture. Then the tasting plate had a slider and 3 pieces of bread with dukkah - just too much bread! The spring roll was almost frozen in the middle, the sausage roll was dry and tasted like an ordinary party sausage roll, the kangaroo stir fry was quite nice. The staff were friendly and the decor is lovely.
My partner and I were just in town for the 1 night. This place was an experience, lovely service, excellent food. We were treated like Vip’s the whole time ahah.
The roo tail was so delicious and the fish of the day was also very nice. I wish i had a bigger stomach.
Very reasonably priced!
