Royal Mail Hotel reviews
24 I stayed for the night. I was given one of the single rooms outside.
What can I say but they should be demolished or at least start doing some renovations.
The only good thing was the shower was hot and I found the bed comfy
I decided to have dinner this time.
I asked for a beer which was on tap. Sorry we dont have that beer.
I ordered a steak. I wanted vegies.
Sorry its only served with chips and salad.
SERIOUSLY
At least the steak was tender.
Rooms were bad, broken beds not the cleanest either but I'm not sure what to expect from a little town standard.
Great outback pub, had dinner with my partner here food was great the steak was well priced and cooked perfectly (Medium rare). The Belgian behind the bar was friendly and always making sure we were happy with our drinks. Place had a great vibe.
Stopped in at The Royal while passing through Meekatharra and was greeted by great service from the bar staff and a perfectly cooked meal. Good atmosphere and great customer service.
Mena the barmaid is so cool and Philip thank you for the homemade pizza
Def be back

Steak and pizzas are good as they come. Won't be going anywhere else in Meekatharra for dinner
Enjoyed a 3 night stay at the Royal Mail hotel Meekatharra. Great pub food and outstanding service! 400grm scotch steak was awesome!
Wow lovely to read great reviews I worked there in the 80s. Guess changed a bit but Meekatharra a great friendly town. Got off greyhound bus to be welcomed by aboriginal locals. As a Scottish girl I was overwhelmed by hospitality. Thank you and to this day Meekatharra has helped me to be person I am today
Don’t stay here. Keep driving. Loud music playing from the attached pub until after 3am, drunk & aggressive patrons spilling out into the accommodation block. I feared a fist coming through my window and fully expected damage to my car in the “secure” car park. Didn’t even stay for breakfast and left at first light. Seriously, don’t stay here.
I'd read some good things about this pub, but stood at the bar for 10 mins with 8 other people waiting to get served for a drink, whilst they went back to people who already had drinks to take food orders. We asked for a drink but where ignored. So left and went to the other pub and had the best service and a great meal. Plus they had heaps more of meal selections. Such a shame.
Absolutely loved it.its rustic, its a true country local, the food is very good and the staff (even though they were kiwis) are super friendly, courteous, polite and preety easy on the eye too ;)
Popped in for a quick dinner with 3 hours to go on our road trip, waited an hour and a half for two burgers because they gave out food to the wrong people. No communication, only started cooking out burgers once we asked where our dinner was. Pretty bloody average service and food
The best Hotel in town, great prices with very warm and friendly staff. Oh and great music too!
Just a little bit further from the caravan park but well worth it.
Thank you everyone at the Royal Mail.
Poor customer service by a lady on the counter called BRETTE. Visited Royal mail as i saw the reviews was great and awesome but unfortunately the lady was rude and offered me poor service which was extremely disappointing for me. Really not happy to put 1 star review just because of one rude staff,
I hope next time she will treat people with respect and good standards.
Awesome staff, the food is simple but really tasty (the steak is one of the best steak I had in years). Room would need a little refresh but for a little country pub its exactly what you are looking for. Defenitly the best pub in Meekatharra.
Stayed overnight on Wednesday night due to coastal roads being closed with the cyclone, the room was old but clean and perfect for my wife and daughter as well as secure parking, the staff were by far the most helpful and friendliest girls we have come across and the bar atmosphere was awesome, I also had the BEST steak I have had in a long time, we will be staying there next journey north!
Friendly staff, great atmosphere and possibly the best steak I have eaten. Rooms fair but clean and fresh.
The service and staff were fantastic. Friendly atmosphere. Food was delicious, I recommend the steak. Truly a lovely place to eat and stay, located at the end of the Earth.
Stayed there in 2018, friendly staff and good accommodation, will visit again soon, Robert Kramer, Murrayville, Victoria 3512
I asked the bartender how ice formed on the outside of the beer glasses after pouring the beer in, apparently they have some well kept polar bears blowing on the kegs. They will also allow you to visit the basement which was cool. Food was also great. Definitely worth a drop in if you crave a country pub feed!
