This review is specific to Dr Hannes Gebauer.

I had an appointment with him for cycstic acne on my jaw line. Within a minute of my walking in he says to me “you don’t have an acne problem you have a picking problem! "
Hadn’t asked me any questions, no history taking just straight up accusing me I’m the problem.

I have struggled with deep cystic lumps for years. Following this appointment I was admitted to hospital for five days of IVAB's because my acne turned into facial cellulitis.

I believe this could have been prevented if you Dr Gebaur actually cared enough to try and treat the root cause of my acne and skin breakdown.

I was referred to a different dermatologist on discharging from the hospital whom put me on isotretinoin (accutane) and haven’t had a breakout since.

On top of this experience with Dr Hannes Gebauer I realised he was also the dermatologist I saw in my early twenties for same problem of cystic acne but at the Fremantle dermatology practice.

I had a bad experience with him then too. I remember him saying "what do you want me to do about it? "
I was so shocked about his attitude I remember asking him if he wasn't having a good day. Trying to figure out why he was communicating with such an attitude.

10 years later and he hasn’t changed.

I could have saved myself years of grief and scars if he had actually treated me for acne.

Instead both appointments I was prescribed a topical antibacterial paraffin emollient and told to stop touching my face.

I am a Registered Nurse and work with doctors everyday I have never been treated nor witnessed such unprofessionalism.

The way you communicate is degrading.

If the way you spoke to me was demonstrated in front of the many assessors you would have gone before to get to where you are then you wouldn’t be where you are.

I have dealt with both Hannes and Kurt on a few occasions with different members of my family and myself. I’ve always found them to be exceptional in their services. After reading the rest of these reviews here on google I can only assume those who have written the 1 star reviews are extremely sensitive people. I admire the no nonsense, straight to the point approach and felt all medical information was explained to me in a manner in which I recognised and understood clearly.

Great customer service and doctor Hannes was very knowledgeable and helpful.
