RedSands Campers reviews
5 I had the 5-person 4WD camper from RedSands Campers for a couple of weeks of cruising around the amazing Kimberley region. The vehicle and the way it's been designed and set up are absolutely perfect. It's got everything and then some.
Firstly, the camper had both 12-volt and 240-volt power, which meant we could charge our gadgets and run our stuff wherever we went. No worries about running out of power in the middle of nowhere!
The built-in Engel fridge/freezer was a total game-changer. It meant we didn't have to manage ice and eskies for the entire trip, keeping our fresh food.fresh and our cold drinks.cold—a total lifesaver in the heat of the day.
But what really stood out were the tents. Setting up and packing them down was a piece of cake. They only took a few minutes to deploy, and after a few days, I was packing both up in around 20 minutes. That meant less time fussing with gear and more time enjoying the amazing scenery.
The vehicles are made for off-roading, and that's exactly what we did. They have three spares, not that we needed them, and everything you could want in case of an emergency. Again, we didn't have to use any of it, but it gave us great peace of mind knowing that we had it should we need it.
The vehicle comes fully equipped with utensils and the bits and pieces you need to cook etc, and there's still loads of room for storing bags and belongings.
The RedSands Campers crew were super-awesome, super-friendly, and super-helpful. Before we hit the road, they made sure we knew the ins and outs of the vehicle and had everything we needed.
I can't recommend this outfit enough. If you want a stress-free off-the-grid camping adventure, they've got you covered. It was an unforgettable experience, and RedSands played a big part in making it so great. Thank you so much.

We did an amazing 5 week trip from Perth to Darwin with rental from RedSands Campers. 2 adult and 2 children in the Hilux with 2 rooftop tent. The car and the equipment was in excellent conditions, and the service from RedSands when needed was with no problem at all. Everything from pickup to delivery of car worked exceptionally. We experience the amazing wild sandy beaches on the west that really amazed us a lot, wonderful Kimberley and some part of Northern Territory. Would not hesitate to choose RedSands again. Only problem was that we would really like to do it again…). Thanks!
Great communication and customer service. They happily take the time to explain the ins and outs of the vehicles, the Gibb River Road, and important considerations when trip planning. Unfortunately COVID-19 has delayed our travel plans, but we are looking very forward to travelling in a RedSands vehicle in the future.
Unfortunately we were not able to complete our trip due to COVID but 5 stars for excellent and supportive customer service.
Shoutout to Louise and Ashton!
I Got a quote for a 2 week trip through the kimberley
Region $ 4886 for a 2 person 4wd with tent on the roof for june 2019 - this equates to
$ 349 per night? Surely this kind of "greed" does not encourage tourism of the Kimberley region?
*** see attached quote below ***
Note - it would be more economical to buy a 4wd then leave it on the side of the road (dump it) after your trip is finished! These types of quotes are exploiting tourists and bad for tourism: - (: - (" BUYER BEWARE "
