We stayed in Gumnut Cottage for two nights. It was a lovely scenic drive to Redgum from Balingup. We saw emus and kangaroos and many birds and wildlife on the property. The bed and bedding, sheets etc were extremely comfortable and everything was good quality. We had our own private spa which was such a treat. Judy and Dirk were excellent hosts. Very generous and hospitable and welcoming. The cottage itself was so cute and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Highly recommend this as your holiday stay. Relaxing, tranquil and a great place to recharge your batteries. We will definitely be back.

Thank you Judith & Dirk for a Fabulous stay at RedGum Hill.
Walking around the beautiful property, with magnificent trees, flowers & wildlife was such a rejuvenating experience. Accommodation was clean, tidy & comfortable.
The peace & slow pace was exactly what I needed, but having the opportunity to pop into cute little surrounding towns was an added bonus.
Look forward to next time!

Honestly I want to write this as I feel the owners here rip people of regularly and some how feel it's justified. We booked two nights for two couples. My partner arrived early the first day and the rest of us late the first night. Due to the owner not reading the email properly only one room was set up. We made due with it. We were given about 5 pieces of firewood for the whole weekend and kindly asked for more and he was rude about giving us more. They were not accommodating at all. The stove tops and tiny oven didn't work so we couldn't even cook food. We ended up being ripped off 900 dollars. We were only told as we were leaving that he had taken an extra 250 from us because he didn't read the email and other details retarding the other couple. We spent an hour cleaning in the morning and left the place spotless. They ruined what was meant to be the first get away from a stressful work life. This is not worth what you pay for at all!

Nannup itself was nice but the accommodation was terrible. We booked for 4 people wich cost over $600 then the owner wanted more money saying he was unaware, we forked out ANOTHER $250 when its under $400 for 2 nights if you book on some travel agent website wich I didn't notice until now and we didn't even get anymore blankets, towels no extras for the extra money we paid (mind you we shared 2 towels between 4 people wich wasn't very nice) the owner didn't even want to give us more than the 6 pieces of wood on the first night even tho it's the middle of winter! The oven and stove tops didn't work so we couldn't even cook food.
Overall I'm very dissapointed with this property and the fact they made us pay even more just made it even more not worth it, considering how expensive fuel is nowadays, driving from Perth isn't cheap for 2 cars. This place just seems like a money grab with nothing to offer.

We stayed in Duffy's Cottage. It was perfect and just what we needed. The cottage was charming and the surroundings beautiful and tranquil. We even enjoyed a spa even though the night was cold and rainy!
Hosts Judy & Dirk were very friendly and helpful.
We will certainly look forward to returning.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Duffy’s Lodge. It was so relaxing with plenty of space, spa to ease aching muscles after bush walks, log fire to keep us warm and plenty of wildlife to keep us entertained. Great getaway for the family.
