Ramen Boy reviews
22Honestly, this is one of my favourite ramen restaurant. Came in today 29/01/24 around 630 pm. Firstly the guy who has took my family and I’s order who was wearing glasses, wears his hat backwards was very rude, we understand we have a big order and there was only 2 people working but there was no need for bad customer service, so utterly disgusted by his attitude. When I also followed up with my black ramen order as apparently it’s not on the receipt and I have not ordered it, he gave a big sigh and gave attitude to us! Never had this customer service before. I understand you guys are busy, but a simple kind customer service would’ve been appreciated. As simple as dropping the food to our table nice and quietly. Ramen Boy please do better! Hopefully you guys will do something about this.
The ramen was very good price and it was great. Not heavy in flavouring. I didn't have any food reactions. Had the takoyaki and gyoza side dishes.
The unagi was dry, no sauce and very disappointed. I have eaten lots of Unagi donburi and this is the driest.
Funky art on the wall and medium dining space.
The service was a little lacking. It was ok. Though the bowls being dropped on the table with a clang, kind of shocked that the service was so lack lustre.
Free parking and good toilet facilities available.
Really good food at decent prices. Nice to have a good ramen place near home and definitely worth a visit
Nice noodles and reasonably priced. Enjoyed very much. Large chocked and Guozi. Chicken Karage is also very nice.
It is great to find places that know what they do and do it well. Great tasting ramen at affordable prices. Small but absolutely adequate menu! Been here several times and we will be back!
The soup was missing the umami effect from the pork bones especially since it’s a tonkotsu broth base. Definitely something to work on and improve. The Chashu was decent and the noodles were a little too chewy for my liking as well.
I’m not sure if it’s the manager, but the guy serving us was so so thoughtful and nice. Super accommodating and I loved all the ramen! It was so good on a rainy day for me and my friends Highly recommend!
Had dinner here and have always enjoyed their ramen. Although it's not as famous as the other franchises, their ramen would be one of the better ones.
Ordered a black garlic oil ramen, which came with three slices of pork belly which was nicely done, tender and slightly charred. The noodle is cooked to perfection and there's a generous topping of sliced black fungus and bamboo shoots. The egg was the best so far as it's jammy and really well marinated. On top of all the offerings, the price is really affordable compared to the famous chains.
Good and quick service as well. They're responsive and get to your service quite quickly.
Good, budget friendly local option for ramen in Willeton. We spent $26 for 2 people at lunch. The broth tasted good and charred pork belly slices had a good smoked flavour to it. Great noodle texture.
Over all 5 stars

over all worth a try.standard black garlic ramen
Wow ramen
katsu chicken black garlic ramen
2023: Still good value, however there is now credit card surcharge. Broth is quite salty. The place is a lot quieter now, isn't as busy as when they first open.
2022: Just go for the ramen. Gyonza is pretty pathetic. Minimal service. Nothing fancy. Ok for quick casual meal. Free tea. No credit card surcharge.
The soup is really rich and tasty, pork is soft and tasty, egg is good and noodles are fresh.really cheap, quick and lovely patient staff.
Not as good as Ippudo, Hakata or Bari Uma.the soup was too sour and the smell of bamboo shoot was too strong to my liking.price is cheap thou and you get egg and pork slices.
The portion size was tiny, didn’t even fill half the bowl. The broth is bland and boring, and the pork has no flavour. The noodles aren’t any better, would not come again
Looking through images of the menu, the price of the boy has risen from 6.50 (at open) to 7.50 (roughly 2020 to some point in 2022) to 9.50 over these past few years.sort of sad at the price rise by $3 but what else are you gonna do to combat inflation.still really nice value compared to other ramen places in vic park, and other japanese places around.i don't eat large portions either, so the size of the boy ramen is fitting imo
I haven’t been to Japan. But it was a tasty ramen. Ordered the spicy one, really liked it. Didn’t waste a drop of the soup.
Very yummy. Didn’t take too long to get my food. I’ll definitely visit this place again in the future.
The price is average but the taste is really squeaky and the pork is breathless and I have to repeat myself but it doesn't taste too good. The ramen was also different. I don't really recommend it.
Just go for the ramen. Gyonza is pretty pathetic. Minimal service. Nothing fancy. Ok for quick casual meal. Free tea. No credit card surcharge.
My local go-to tonkatsu place. Friendly people making some good food. Black ramen here is my favourite. Very reasonably priced.
