39 Perfect". Really well finished and very modern
The food was fantastic and very well cooked.different specials each week was a nice surprise with large Menu options too.drinks and staff were so warm and helpful and loved a chat.an the ambience all round.really very nice"!
Lunch or dinner this is a great place too go I definitely recommend stopping in.
Beautiful pub in the middle of lovely forest. The dining room has a great log fire and comfortable lounge. Great place.
A great example of country cooking in Australia. When your food comes out you'll jump up and run for the kitchen just to check it wasn't Nanna who cooked the lamb. With a comfy fire to help you adjust to the relaxation of a south west red, or your choice of the large range of Aussie beers on tap; that will top off the generous meal so well I don't think you'll have enough space in the boot to fit the highly regarded sticky date. Yeah of course you will:)
Chicken was overcooked, seized and tough. Husband's fish was 'like boot leather' - how do you make fish?
Prices are extraordinary for what they deliver.
Muzak gave me trauma.
Good wine list if you know what you're looking for.
May I suggest a more concise menu to allow it to be better executed?
The new pub is awsome. Food is great. Book a table it gets busy being small. Beautiful part of the world and worth calling in for a stop.
Pretty disappointed with my meal that took longest to deliver but looked worse than others. Beer was great, local wine disappointing, service pleasant but tavern closed on Australia Day
Service was great. Friendly helpful staff and the venue was nice and modern. I understand it's a new rebuild after the original burnt down. The downfall is with the food and the price of the food. $30-$35 dollar mains which are 75% deep fried chips, battered items and a simple salad, seems quite steep. I understand that remote taverns have higher overheads and must account for less consistent trade causing them to have slightly increased prices but any meal costing $30 or above should be, at a minimum, very enjoyable. I think the issue is that rural taverns have the association of good hearty meals at reasonable prices. If the dishes had been $10 each less, the value for money would have been par for the course.
TL/DR
Great staff and venue. Very expensive simple meals.
Awesome meal in the middle of nowhere, fantastic friendly staff in an amazing setting. Honestly, if in the area, a must visit
Great spot, good food, and pleasant staff. Stayed at the CP, walked to the pub, and enjoyed a beer on their balcony overlooking the karri forest
The old tavern was a rustic icon with a beautiful bush backdrop where I was fortunate enough to watch a Trans Tasman rugby union game and banter the afternoon away with a few of the colorful locals.
The new rebuilt tavern is amazing, we turned up on a Tuesday with the sign saying closed but we were welcomed in anyway with a few extra lucky patrons.
Friendly country service and food that was equal to a 5 Star restaurant. You can rebuild a Tavern but friendly service and great food is ingrained in the people there. We will definitely be back.with more friends.
Its an alright bar specially in the middle of nowhere, infact we were surprised to find a bar 30km away from nearest town.
Food was good.
Great country pub. Awesome place to enjoy a beer and feed when in the area. We drove from Northcliffe and it was well worth it
What a beautiful location.
The rest was disappointing.
The food was ok but nothing to rave about. We waited 40 minutes for our entrée and then needed to ask for plates to eat it.
One of our party had old lipstick on her water glass!
Very limited wine selection.
The steak was large, but tough. The 4 small prawns in a tasteless sauce did not make it "surf and turf". The pepper sauce on the other steak appeared to be watered down cream with a dash of pepper.
The vegetarian mains was pleasant but certainly not a main meal size.
No baby change facilities.
I certainly won't be going back to a place that should be offering the best of our south west.
The Quinninup Tavern has recently been rebuilt the new Tavern is fantastic the food and atmosphere are great and the staff I wonderful highly recommend calling in for a beer or 2 or a steak or 3
We called in for lunch Monday 15th June and we were not dissapointed. Great staff and great meals.
Beautiful new tavern. Played some pool before dinner. Very friendly staff. Had the Mediterranean pasta and it was one of the best I've ever had! Definitely recommend.
Great to see it back. A lot of memories from the old tavern, will be great to mske new ones in this great looking venue. Best of luck to the owners.
A brand new tavern to replace the one that was burned down. Lovely deep verandah with views into the nearby forest. A good lunch and good service
Quiet place, tidy room, friendly stuff. But the news on 17-July-2017 said it was burned down in the weekend. The owner said it would be rebuilt.
