Dined in tonight, service was a little on the slow side for off peak period but staff were friendly and helpful, ordered a tom kha kai soup, classic seafood style pad-thai and some spring rolls, meals came out in great time and the pad-thai was excellent, with great portion size too.

TLDR, great thai place for a local community/ neighborhood spot, will definitely be coming back again:)

Worst service ever. Took our order then waited 60mins. Had to go up to the useless counter staff and was told another 30mins. Decided to cancel and walked out. Have never done this to a restaurant until now. Not Recommended

Good food but these wait staff needs some serious customer service skills. We were 6 adults and some kids. Gave us one jug of water which we were sharing amongst ourselves. They took the order. We ordered Tom yam soup and some fish cakes for entree, fried rice and some stir fried veggies/beef to go along with the rice.

First after 40 mins we got the below in order-

1. Came out stir fried beef/veggies

2. After 15 mins we had our fried rice and by that time the stir fried got cold

3 after another 10 mins they brought the soup

The soup bowl was missing serving spoon so we asked for it. Then they never gave us the soup bowl as if we were supposed to put the soup on our plate.

At the end we couldn’t have the soup as it became cold, then we couldn’t enjoy the mains (which tasted good) because there was no fried rice served, by the time the fried rice was served the mains were cold.

What’s the point of having the best Resturant without giving the customers opportunity to enjoy the food while they are nice and hot.

So we ate and enjoyed all the food but they were unorganised and cold. We were there on Friday the 12th from 7.20 pm. Oh the fish cakes never got served as we had enough by the time we finished the other food.

Wow this place has really gone down hill
They now have 2 teenagers serving who play there phones more than service and when they do it is terrible service
The seating arrangement is designed now to cram more people in and your having to squeeze past everyone very tightly to get in or out of the seats
Food portions are smaller and have lost there flavour of what they use to be
Whole atmosphere is really not appealing
This place use to be booked out nearly every night, looks like those days are long gone and they really need to smarten there act up to get me back

Ordered over the phone whilst driving. Told 20 mins till the food is ready. Arrived 20 mins later and went in to pay and advised eftpos was down and only cash accepted. Did not have any cash so ended up paying with payId.after paying told it would be 5 more mins. Went outside to wait as customers were walking in and sitting at tables. Went back in after 8 or so mins, and food still not ready. Waited around like a lost individual and eventually get told, sorry the kitchen says your food will be another 20 mins. I was not happy and they could see that, didn’t really have an option but to wait as I was told the food was being prepped already. Whilst I sit in the car park I watch people who had arrived after I initially entered the restaurant leave after eating their dinner. After another 20 / 25 mins I eventually go in and the food was handed to me. Don’t know what’s going on with this place. Never used to be like this. Il be honest, the food is good but with service like this I definitely won’t be going back and won’t be recommending anyone else.

We have been going here for years now. Food is good but the serving portions are growing smaller. Would be good if they can maintain the portions. The signage has disappeared with graffiti on the roller shutters and inside benches don't have cushions any more. Looking pretty rundown.
Please maintain your standards. I love the food and would hate to look for an alternative.

Wonderful ful and amazing experience. Must try everyone. And the lady at the shop was one of the best experience of customer service I have ever had. Despite of my 3 years old daughter moving around the restaurant, but that lady kept her cool and made it a wonderful experience for us. 5 star service with 5 star food.

BEWARE: In house bathroom is 4 meters away from stove top where food is prepared.

I'm not much of a person for trying new dishes but all 6 of our main foods on top of our great entrees were fantastic, service was 50/50 and inconstant but I guess that's what you get going to a 3 persons run restaurant for a sit down meal.

Have been getting takeaway from here for a few years.the food is ok, not really value for money but that's the norm for most takeaway places nowadays. I have looked for places that prepare grilled whole fish but unfortunately they fry and chop into pieces like everyone else.

Usually I don't write reviews, but for this Putong Thai Restaurant I would love to write one. We have been to many restaurants in past, we were referred by one of our friends to try this restaurant in particular. Too be honest the food quality was excellent & the customer service was outstanding. Food was all fresh & was delivered to our table in no time. I would definitely recommend this Putong Thai Restaurant to all my family & friends. Keep up the good work.

Long time customer. Really disappointed with tonight’s order (17/2/22).
The meal had no where near the same quality as it had in the past. I was surprised how quiet it was when I picked up my order. I will not be returning anytime soon.

I don’t know why it took us this long to find this place, amazing food, friendly service and authentic Thai taste! Give it a go and you won’t regret

Satay sticks where a bit cold. Very mild on the chillies to suit Aussie palate. Green curry, stir fry ginger and garlic and pad Thai all full of flavours. Nice

This restaurant has a fairly limited menu of high quality food. While a little on the expensive side the food is wonderful and cooked in a timely manner.

This place is a gem. A diamond in the rough. A star among the mediocrity.

Delicious food, always hot and fresh when delivered. Never had a bad meal from Putong Thai. Food tastes just as it should - like a mouthful of a Thai holiday. Definitely get hungry and then order some of the delicious entrees to start with, before diving into your mains. And always get the Pad Thai.

Food has not arrived at all. (menulog order) Restaurant does not answer the phone. It may be good thai but not worth the stress!

One of my favourite Thai places. Reasonably priced. Lovely staff, authentic tastes. I Highly recommend

Had a lovely dinner. We came in late with out a booking and was lucky enough that the staff could accommodate us and I'm glad they could, food was well presented and appropriately priced, staff were really accommodating and friendly, myself and the others I was dining with said we would come back again to eat here again.
