We entered just after 10am and was told we can’t order breakfast but we could order lunch, after an hour we were told that our order could be another hour as the lunch chef had not yet turned up to work. We left at 11.45 am still hungry

Been to this place with my partner many times and can’t fault it! Food/service has always been amazing, would highly recommend. Thank you Purple Goat!

Ordered American pancakes for 18$ and I was disappointed. 3 small cold pancakes (not fresh) with syrup, cream and butter. Way to expensive.

Service was friendly and good.

The coffee was barely warm and when I returned it saying it was not hot the girl asked me if I wanted her to put it in the microwave. I was totally shocked and said no, she then asked again, surprised that I said no to the microwave. For a restaurant that charges so much this was very second rate.

Wouldn't waste my money here again. Portion sides are too small for the money you pay. The American pancakes ($18) were not freshly made (shop bought and microwaved). Coffee was ok. Wouldn't go there again.

Nice place for a casual sit down meal with friendly table service. Menu has a good range including a kid's menu.
I had the reef & beef which was a good size serve, done medium to my satisfaction. The creamy garlic sauce that the prawns were served in was a delight. Miniature serve of salad on the side. My wife was hankering for a good burger and it looked great - although she found the meat a tad underdone for her taste. She enjoyed her chips dipped in my sauce, thankfully there was sufficient quantity for both of us to enjoy.
The menu is probably just a tad on the expensive side for what you get.
The food and drinks were delivered by robot which was a bit of a gimmick leading to a bit of discussion about "robots taking our kid's jobs". But the human staff were around to make sure we were happy.
During daylight hours the view out on the water probably looks great; at night time the reflection means you can't see outside much at all.
Would like to return later to try some of the other specialties on the menu.

Booked a table here for a birthday mid week lunch based on a 5 spoon review we read in a newspaper (Gave a go News or something). Arrived and just given a nondescript table in an average location so spoke to hostess about the booking. She then did actually look and offered us a 6 setting table with a view which was shown as reserved but not for us. We sat down then shown to another smaller table after a few minutes when the previous guests left.service was provided by a young lady who was obviously very inexperienced but we eventually got the orders sorted. The prices seemed high and we ended up ordering some of their specials and taking advantage of their free wine with lunch offer. The food was average and not deserving of the high prices being asked. The special prices with the free wine were about what we would expect to pay normally for the food we had for mains. We shared a garlic cheese toast for entrée which was essentially 2 slices of warm bread with melted cheese. Could not discern any taste of garlic. Paid $9 for three prawns in a garlic sauce. Really! The venue was very cold and no heating provided in the middle of winter. My curry special was just ok and only came with a very small portion of rice which was not enough to go with the curry provided. Partner had Barramundi special which was small portion but was nice. Salad that came out was limp and some spilt so a fresh replacement was provided to their credit. The first lit should never have made it out of the kitchen let alone on the plate though. Our recommendation is just go if you intend to order specials and free wine with lunch for an average meal.

My family went to this cafe to have dinner and it was Absolutely terrible! The food they serve are very expensive and the portion of the food were very little for its price! It was just horrible. Salad. Lol. Some grated carrot. One wedge of tomatoes and some mixed lettuce out of a bag.

The pork ribs was $48 it was very small. Also, I asked if the drink comes in a jar since it’s $9 and it was just a smallllllll jar for one person! Also, the rice is $10? And it was also just one cup. Freaking expensive! The food was not that great as well. I would rather go to a fancy restaurant than this cafe. Absolutely terrible & disappointed. Altogether we paid $520 for some plain food! So disappointed! Never going back to this cafe ever again! They should consider reducing the price of their food or at least adding more portion of their servings! Terribly mad!

Views and interior are very nice with a robot waiter that comes with your order. Pricey but I guess you pay for the scenery

We went in and got a table but no one came to serve us so I went up to the counter to order but the female staff said they’ll come over since it’s table service. I waited for some time while I watch her serve and take orders from multiple table of people that came after us… If you’re understaffed, it is also not an excuse when we were there longer and other people are getting their orders after us. She took our orders without apologising for the wait. We ordered the big breakfast as advertised on their sign, which was extremely disappointing when we got it because it’s such a small portion for a price that is so expensive. The poached eggs were so runny I could have just cook it myself. It’s better ordering off the menu and upgrading it or rather just go somewhere else that’s of value for your money. There’s also a long wait for drinks, a bottled beer from the fridge and a coffee, that came after the breakfast. As the male waiter brought the drinks over, he spilled the coffee over the table and cutlery and just walked off without even wiping it off or apologising. They even burn the coffee. I have never had such an appalling service and definitely would not recommend this cafe to anyone. Definitely do not deserve a star, even if they are a small business as they don’t even practice the basic hospo skills.

Served raw fish, and instead of proper compensation, they gave us just one replacement? How on earth is that acceptable?

My partner order the fish man basket, that was disgusting the frozen fish was fried not much in the basket for the price

Didn't realise they served scallop sashimi on their menu. Oh wait, they don't and we received uncooked food. Tiny takeaway sizes as a cherry on top! 10/10 love the secret menu!

Our seafood baskets were undercooked. Seafood was still raw and cold on the inside and batter floury sticking to the roof of our mouths suggesting the oil wasn't to the correct temperature when our food was cooked. We were offered replacement plates at the time but we refused as we didn't want another of the same quality. On leaving we asked for a discount as these baskets were $38.00 each, but were refused by the chef/cook as "he had already offered us another plate and we refused" was his response. The fact that the food wasn't cooked and the chef/cook was rude we will not be going back there nor do we recommend this cafe.

The first and last visit to this establishment. Expensive menu. Save your money for a 5 star establishment. $48 for a plate of 8 pan fried prawns, over cooked rice, and salad. Queried the waiter if I had the right order, but a staff member who heard me querying the price to the waiter says abruptly, 'prawns have been imported from overseas, so it's very expensive'. I asked if she felt that for $48 for 8 prawns rice, and a flimsy salad was worth it? Female staff members say yes because prawns are very expensive So save your money people go to where you'll get value for your hard earned money. I've posted our receipt and photo of the prawns.

Strange place with rude robot waiters. 3 out of 4 meals were pretty poor. They were the burger, squid rings and fisherman's basket which was like a box of frozen, tastless deep fried cardboard. The pizza was good though. We should have checked the rating before entering but availability elsewhere was limited.

Food was very basic despite the restaurant presenting itself as a more sophisticated one. The cocktails were diluted. Definitely would not be going back. I give 2 stars not 1 star because they tried to create a nice ambience in the restaurant with furniture and decor. If you just want to have a glass of wine, then it's OK but if you want to eat nice food, go somewhere else

Went there for dinner with the in-laws from Holland we were walking past and they wanted to take us out for dinner.
2 of us had the scotch fillet which is my choice when i have steak, it was 350g which was questionable when it arrived and a cost of $55
The biggest issue for me was the steak was cut in 2 pieces and one was significantly thicker than the other clearly 2 different cuts of meat the thicker piece was tougher and possibly rump, the smaller piece was tenderer and may have been scotch?
As the meat was cut and 2 thicknesses it raises suspicion
I am not a butcher but i do know my scotch its the only one i eat
I have to say i have had better SCOTCH at a fairer price elsewhere
I have had takeaway from here before and always felt dismissed and spoken down to i would not have gone there if it wasn't for the in-laws CHECK YOUR STEAK
